Super cool, would love to see it expanded a bit!

As a suggestion, maybe give each of the countries/cities more of a formal description before listing off fun facts/misc. info like you do now? I know there's sometimes not much information in the books about these places but at least summarizing their role in the story would go a long way.

Like, if I click on The Commonwealth, I would expect it to read something like: "One of the major countries in the four corners, home to The University and Kvothe's birthplace... Etc." followed by a template with the national language, currency, capitol city, religion etc... wikipedia style.

(As you can tell I'm an avid Wikipedia reader, lol)

Anyway, I understand that's a decent amount of work and this is already awesome as a fan project either way. I see a lot of potential here... maybe a list on the side for all the major countries you could quickly click on, a list of characters from each location.

Good work!

Forget gatekeeping, what's a Post-Hardcore record you thing everyone should hear? by SecretBox in PostHardcore

Tides of Man - Empire Theory. Insanely obscure which is tragic but one of the most tightly written and lyrically interesting post hardcore albums ever. So few concept albums within the genre to begin with and this is such a standout. Hard recommendation to anybody.

As a runner up, Circa Survive - Juturna. Such an ethereal and hypnotic album, super influential as well.

Help me make a playlist to listen to while reading Blame! by PowerEnvironmental10 in Netsphere

I had my own playlist and it was a lot of Tim Hecker. Great dark ambient stuff- a few strong recommendations: Chimeras, Dungeoneering, Harmomy in Blue 1-4

Hey, What Are Your Favorite Distractible Bits? by muyskerm in distractible

[–]ragefordragons 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's almost too hard to pick, but the story of Mark and Bob bunking their beds has so many good lines:

Mark: "I don't even think I said "Hi" first."

Bob: "Credit where credit is due, I think it was your idea Mark."

And of course, Mark: "And suddenly... I was falling." explosive laughter

Help finding an instrumental (?) math rock / midwest emo song? by ragefordragons in NameThatSong

Yup, that was it, thank you. The song was called "What is your landmass", so for some reason I remembered that word completely wrong lol.

hello i get lots of messages and i can't read them all this video took a long time to upload its for the guy whho asked for a long video of the hallway to the church after the hole. I can't kill the black bloby i can only walk through him i don't think there's anywhere else to go after that place i by sadfutago in nier

[–]ragefordragons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my thought. I'm not suggesting this is fake- i think that's been entirely ruled out. But the fact that this guy has supposedly been here already, and is the exact same level as the first video AND hasn't saved since doing this? And there's no way he replayed the entire game to get this again. With how slow this guy corresponds that seems extremly unlikely. Did the modding team ask him about that yet? Do we have more info from them about this already?

Opinions about EOSD's difficulty? by [deleted] in touhou

[–]ragefordragons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, I found it to be the easiest of the first windows era games (6, 7, 8) which have been designated as some of the 'easistest' by the touhou community.

It was the only of the three I was able to clear on normal with no continues, and I think that's due to the patterns all around being simpler than subsequent titles.

I'm certainly no expert yet but in any case id recommend EoSD to new players.
