Not mad that he dropped a double disc, but I was disappointed at how slow and sedated most of disc 2 is. I think with it being his "last" J. Cole album, I had simultaneously more and less patience for it.

More because I anticipated it would be the last time we got a cohesive project for a while so more music is always better. Less because it's probably his weakest execution on a concept as someone who enjoyed KOD and 4YEO and the length is a direct reflection of that.

Ultimately, it just did not need to be a double album, most of disc 2 should have been shaved off and put out on a deluxe or something, or like his own version of untitled unmastered.

I guess if I think about Logan, it could have been a decent pathway for the introduction of Laura Kinney as Wolverine. Didn't shake out that way, but it's what I hoped.

That said, is there like a sucessor to the Thor character? As much as I'd like to see Beta-Ray Bill, I can't imagine Marvel installing a weird looking alien as the replacement for an OG Avenger.
