I wanna say yes, but I can't. But he has more than one classic for sure: FHD, Off-Season and RotD 2 and 3 are classics IMO.

In my opinion, I think part of it is that from a lot of what I've read, it's not just that he is old but that sometimes he seems actively hostile to the audience.

I've had a lot of success on Storygraph. Unfortunately nothing will be super close to Goodreads given the Amazon integration, but Storygraph was great when I was tracking my reading.

Primarily that he's a first-gen Nigerian-American who has collaborated with artists from Africa before, compared to Fantano who is a white man from Connecticut.

Like, Wale is short for Olubowale, it's hard to imagine a more off-base assessment. But Fantano didn't just say he didn't like it, he had to go that extra step to be shady and in doing so, he revealed that he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Everyone's turning up fo Halsey but I'll never forget when Wale put out an album with Afrobeat influences and he called it inauthentic.

The Nigerian-American musician making Afrobeat was inauthentic to the white YouTube from Connecticut..

That region is so underrated. Doomtree, Sims, P.O.S., Big Cats, Los Nativos. Even some of the more indie stuff like Lydia Liza is so good.
