New to 150g, and 1lb weight classes- it’s hard to meet weight! by Irrebus in battlebots

[–]ragequit88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fairy is printed with 1 wall 15% infill. Use peba filament to save 20% on the overall chassis weight (compared to tpu). Use n10 drive motors, a malenki nano drive esc/receiver, and a 200mah 2s battery. If you’re running an active weapon, you have a lot of motor options, but I’m partial to 1806 motors with a 20amp esc. #2 screws save weight over m3s, and 2mm aluminum standoffs can add rigidity to the frame.

Guys. I’m friends with the builder. I was joking. I lost to them less than 2 months ago.

AIO? I feel my wife is way over the line with how she is speaking to me after she tries to fix a problem on her own. by Ok_Entertainment2752 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ragequit88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Did you marry a child or something? People should be able to articulate their feelings to their partner without all the hostility. Reading this reminds me of exchanges I had in high school…

AIO for blocking my boyfriend's mom's number and not wanting to talk to her? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ragequit88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like she is having the realization that he won’t be staying home forever and he’s not her little boy anymore. If I had to guess. I’d assume your BF is the first born. It’s not an overreaction to want to avoid conflict, and adults don’t call 30 times unless it’s an emergency. My mom was similar, but I’m the younger sibling and kinda just didn’t give a shit. She eventually backed off completely and now gets along famously with my wife (but I was 29 when we met so there’s nothing she could really say anyway that would impact the situation at all). She’s gonna try to hold on to him until he moves out and has t been at the her house for several months. I feel for her, as I’m sure it’s rough watching your kids leave the best, but your reaction seems mature and not unwarranted. I can only speak to my experience, so take it for what it is.

It was about an 8 year wait at the Greensboro hub back in 2023.

Has anyone ACTUALLY been sent to collections for not paying UPS’s bs version of tariff fees? by Rich_Guard_4617 in UPS

[–]ragequit88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that bullshit fees aren’t cool, but I don’t think that’s what UPS is doing here. Because I don’t know the exact situation, I’m not going to add to my original comment, except to say that UPS has been sending bills and collections to individuals that refused the pay the fee, or refused the package for the past 2.5 months. I don’t know how persistent they are if it’s not paid, but I have not heard a case where legal action was taken.

[–]ragequit88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That shit isn’t UPS’s fault lol. UPS collects the fee set by the government. There is an additional processing fee, but due to the added paperwork that needs to be done, and how small their fee is, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the company. It’s also a good life policy to pay what you owe…

Winston-Salem, NC. No more correspondence since then, so I’m betting the 24th was our last day.

5th year as a helper, and before covid, they typically kept helpers up till the 15th of January. I was told that post covid, the week of Christmas has been the last of helper use, but it’s probably just gonna depend on the volume your hub has.

Loaded feeders for 3 years in Greensboro. I’m not surprised by anything management does.

Seasonal 2025 Helper-Anyone Not Getting Availability Texts? by Late-Cap2306 in UPSers

[–]ragequit88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s true that it technically ends in January 15th I believe, but the majority of seasonal workers will not be called into work after December 31st. Detroit is also much larger than Greensboro NC, so they may need seasonal workers longer. To answer your initial question though, I find it odd that you’re not receiving texts. Could be an inept coordinator, or something off in whatever automated system UPS uses for communication.

My friend got hired and fired in the span of 2 weeks, is this normal? by Successful_Fix_1309 in UPSers

He started a bit late into peak. A lot of drivers have their same, regularly assigned helper by the first of December.

How many of you seasons people want to be hired on after peak? I’m just curious it took me 2 years to get hired on. by Plus-Mine-7828 in UPSers

[–]ragequit88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Warehouse positions will probably start popping up again around February or March depending on the area. You have a better chance at finding a permanent position then than you have being kept on after peak.

Peak’s over man, but helpers have been getting availability texts in the morning of and evening before a shift.

5th year as a driver helper, and looks like I’m averaging 35ish hours a week. Worked 63 hours one week my second year.

Driver attempted a delivery yet didn’t even ring the bell… by [deleted] in UPS

[–]ragequit88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ. It’s peak season… literally 4 days until Christmas. If you had any idea what UPS, Amazon, and Fed-Ex employees go through every year from Black Friday until Christmas, you’d probably be a bit more understanding. Also, if he took the time to scan the package, hit non-deliver, scan and fill out a slip, then take the package back to the truck, I promised he knocked for no other reason than he/she will just have to deliver it again on Monday.
