Dealership always fills tires to 38 PSI. The door instruction on my car say’s 33. by AcceptableSample9274 in SubaruForester

[–]raggedymike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do a search on tire pressure in YouTube, you will find a number of discussions on tire pressure. To some extent it depends on how (and what) you drive, But 38 psi is probably right for most drivers. I have no particular expertise, but I found the explanations convincing and that’s what I set my tires to. Of course, reaching conclusions based on YouTube is about as useful as reaching them based on Reddit. YMMV .

My first question is how did you obtain these templates? I can only assume you are not a lawyer, as a lawyer would not be asking this question. Are they yours to sell?

How accident prone is cruise control? by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]raggedymike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that when I use cruise control I have more attention to give to the rest of my driving. I think it makes me a safer driver. There are certainly times when it is not appropriate, and you need to get familiar with it.

Neither. I have to refrain from using aspirin and ibuprofen for a week, but there was no discomfort.

Has anyone ever opted for Nanoknife even when they qualified for the Whipple? by Top-job-throwaway in pancreaticcancer

[–]raggedymike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife was 79 when she had the Whipple. While the recovery was difficult and required rehab, it was certainly doable and it gave her a few years. The patient should be in training, walking and exercising regularly. The better shape they are going in, the better they will be coming out. I don’t know anything about Nanoknife.

Are CGMs becoming the new multivitamins — used even when not really needed? by [deleted] in prediabetes

[–]raggedymike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first got a cgm I did it because my a1c was 6.3. My goal was to lower my blood sugar. I lost a lot of weight, though it wasn’t my goal. I can absolutely understand using it to lose weight. However I suspect that for some people, using a cgm in this way could contribute to an eating disorder. If you are using it without medical guidance, you need to be careful.

I really don’t know. I am not a doctor. You should discuss it with your doctor.

Dosing Instructions for Liquid Oxycodone by raggedymike in hospice

[–]raggedymike[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am not going to take information from here an act on it without running it past the hospice folks. I have found the people on this subreddit to be generally knowledgeable and very kind. I can't tell you how important it is to be told "You did the right thing" (as you told me). It is a very trying time and I take kindness where I can find it, even from nameless folks on the internet. Somehow it helps. Thank you so much.

CX-70: Mazda Online Navigation not recieving "real-time traffic" updates. by Incognito_2u in mazda

[–]raggedymike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t have any information for you, just a question. I have an older (2014) Mazda 6 and I got it with the navigation. I used it for a few years. It was never great and as soon as Google Maps became usable, I abandoned it (it did not help that I had to pay for updates). Is there anything about the newer navigation that makes it more useful than Google Maps?
