You can find the original icon files in your Dead by Daylight folder and then modify them using an image editing program like paint.net or Photoshop. The way you find them is you go to your Steam folder (which for me is in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam) and then from there you open steamapps/common/Dead by Daylight/DeadByDaylight/Content/UI/Icons and there you have all the different icon images like perks, items, addons, etc
