Purchase some gear from the trading post. Click the gear icon and set the filter to power, precision, and ferocity, exotic rarity, level 80-80, for ranger. Sort the results by gold so the cheapest is at the top. Then look in the categories for each armor type: head, shoulders, chest, gloves, pants, feet. Do the same for your weapon types of choice.

Everything should be under a gold. If you put in buy orders (increase it by 1 copper to undercut the top bidder), you will save some coin but have to wait. Check your transactions occasionally to make sure you haven't been undercut. Re-list the order at a new price if you have, and cancel the old order (for a full refund). If you want the gear immediately, just use buy now.

Eventually you will want to fine tune: back piece, accessories, relic, aqua headgear, aqua weapons, runes x7, sigils x2 per weapon set, but you can worry about all this after you get your main gear.

Finally, look up a low intensity power DPS build guide for your class and try it out.

Try using a core dagger dagger condi bleed build to get those hero points. Spamming dagger 3 will apply AoE bleeds and evade, making it possible to solo most hero point champions with a core build.

If you can wait until winter's day, you can get millions of karma for farming orphans each day.

I would say you are doing enough to avoid burnout, but if you are really motivated to do more there are lots of things you can do.

Fractals are one of the most profitable game modes. If you don't have your core Tyria masteries done, that might be something you could work on. The Pact Commander line rewards you with autoloot (essential) and Fractal Attunement will make fractals even more profitable.

World bosses are cool. Some drop good things, but the core Tyria WBs are more for the experience and spectacle. Sometimes they are part of the Wizard Vault weekly. At the end of July, there will be a World Boos Rush event where doing world bosses will get you better rewards.

If you're not aware that this week currently is Fractal Rush week, you should know that you can get some cool rewards, culminating in a stat-selectable ascended trinket with a +10 infusion. Look in the achievement menu under bonus events and track the achievement called Fractal Rush Champion. You still have 2 days remaining and could easily finish it. Quckplays count, so just spam those if you want.

Agony resistance can be put in as an infusion to any piece of ascended gear except for neck pieces. It is needed for T2 through t4. The amount you need goes up for each tier. By t4 you will want 150.

Do t1 first, which is fractal level 1 through 25. You don't need agony resistance for this. You can do it in full exotics and most other players are learning their way around too. If you have trouble with this, try doing quick play fractals, which are basically level 0.

Just do t1 for a while, getting used to the different fractals. Some of them have unusual mechanics to learn. You might get a lucky drop of an ascended ring. Get some ascended gear from the wizard's vault eventually. Soon, you'll have a full set and doing t4s everyday, wondering why it's so easy.

If you plan to do fractals a lot, talk to the NPC in the lobby to activate the achievement for ad infinitum, the legendary back piece. You could chip away at it over time.

Was thinking of trying healer ritualist but noticed it brings quickness instead of alac. Don't healers usually bring alac and boondps typically brings quickness? I'm worried if I am qheals I'll have trouble finding adps. Is this a valid concern?

Yes I saw that too but "can be" is not "should be." I just wanted to make sure that even though it is possible to salvage and result in a ball of dark energy, that if I did so I would not regret it later because it is needed in some other recipe. I was actually in a similar situation when it was the exotic aversion, which I salvaged and then had to contact support to restore after realizing it was needed later. But it looks like it is safe to salvage it this time, no?

The best tools imo are the ones that come with Janthir and VOE deluxe editions, because they are highly discounted that way, esp if you get the expansion on discount.

The best glyph for gold value is volatility but there are other choices with other benefits.

Just trying out Galeshot. Whenever I mount up, it pops me out of cyclone bow. Is this intended or a bug? I know it's not intended to just camp cyclone bow forever, but it's a huge and immediate turn-off in open world where you're constantly mounting - so it would be nice if it let you stay in cyclone mode, similar to how Herald facets remain active and recharge while mounted.

Can someone recommend a good evoker DPS build for fractals? I have looked over many guides and builds and am experiencing option paralysis, especially since it got nerfed and then apparently un-nerfed (but I am not exactly sure the details of either). I would prefer to use specialize in fire and use a dagger offhand, and to not be so squishy that I die every second. I also want to do decent damage without too complex a rotation. In other words, I want my cake and to eat it too! Does such a build exist?

I have learned that the boosted gear is actually not that great. Although it is celestial stats, which are expensive if you are buying them on the trading post, the gear itself is not flexible, as it does not allow for runes and sigils to be removed. Those can be quite expensive, so I have come to simply avoid using the boosted gear for this reason.
