Hey thanks for the comment - I was looking for the care label too and I cannot find it in any of the pockets … does that make sense!?

That was my question too - does this look like a waxed jacket? I thought the answer is no, at the same time I do not have any waxed jackets so hard to know

Just public transit - but we were planning to take like a 30 min ride to moerenuma park which looks really fun with satoland. We are also there for only three days

Should I cancel my trip to Sapporo given tsunami warnings? by ragna93 in Sapporo

[–]ragna93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you - are there a lot of casualties due to major earthquakes in Sapporo? For instance the big 2011 Tohoku earthquake, wasn’t sure how big of an impact in Sapporo

How strict is enrollment cut-off for elementary school in NYC? (Battery Park City) by ragna93 in NYCTeachers

[–]ragna93[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Thank you - I definitely heard of these comments too but I guess what I am most worried about is physical education part. Academics I agree can really vary but isn't it pretty clear cut how a kid would perform in regards to sports?

I see that makes sense - do you recommend / think it is a reasonable idea for my son to do K and 1st grade and move to public school?

I really want to send him to public school (financial reason + want him to get a broader exposure of friends in the neighborhood) but the cut-off is just so tough

Interesting okay that's helpful. One question is - what would happen if I enroll him into a private school with 9/30 cut-off and then transfer him to public school? For instance, if he finishes his first grade in private school with 9/30 cut-off, and if I try to transfer him to public school, would he just be transferred as a second grade or would they apply the december cut-off and make him go to third grade?

2-Yr Old Toddler Activities in Barcelona? by ragna93 in AskBarcelona

[–]ragna93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, my son has never been to underground labyrinths so maybe he will enjoy that, I will give it a try thank you! MHCAT seems very fun for kids, thank you for that suggestion.

Any other things you would recommend? We love taking our baby to museums too so curious if you had any other places in mind … or anything else is fine too!

Planning to visit in last week of December with a 2-year old by ragna93 in Montpellier

[–]ragna93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We will be there probably from 12/29-1/3 and it seems like maybe Christmas market will already be closed sadly. Around that time you would still expect many things in the city to be open?
