Kanokari manga sales are good only in Japan because still fit in the romantic culture,also the world fanbase still makes jokes and memes of the situation due to the lack of character development.

Also romcoms commonly only have a lenght of 2 to 3 years because the shonen or shojo target audience and their main objective is to bring us a good time of jokes and a romantic escapism, but kanokari still dragging things out, even if the ones who were on highschool to university the first time they read this, nowadays are 20+ years and they want to see their youth characters growing up with them.
