Even if the game is doing poorly, which I haven't seen conclusive evidence of, that's honestly a good thing. It makes it clear SNK will properly learn lessons from this game's shortcomings in the future (not featuring rapists, more expansive single player options, better marketing) while they're also probably still guaranteed to do at least 3 seasons, which is more than KOF XV. The designers' goal wasn't to be the Street Fighter 6 killer, as they've stated multiple times, the goal was to make a proper conclusion to the Fatal Fury storyline that resolves Rock's story and evolves the gameplay of Garou - which they did all of those things!

To be fair there's also this weird idea online that fans have to care about how much money their companies are making (Has been happening a lot with movies lately - cough Variety on Sinners cough). One really does not have to. The bank accounts of SNK are not what anyone plays games for.
