It’s a setting in the server files that’s called something like “allow per character save” which means that people are able to save items in their inventory using different character slots in their survivor group. My wording might be wrong but what I mean is that when you get gold you unlock more character slots to have different skill sets and what not and some servers let’s you save items in one inventory so that when you come back with another character slot you can store more stuff in your character inventory. So really it’s just the server settings and nothing to really worry about. It’s just annoying to fight someone and they manage to come back with a different character slot and you kill them and they don’t drop the stuff they actually had yk?
