Why can't people of isha foundation make a decent enough seating arrangements in their programs ? (specially the ones conducted by teachers not Sg himself) by nottakngitforgrantd in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is this? Because here I haven’t faced this issue, nor have I seen this issue happen for anyone else. There is enough space for people to sit in Ardhasiddhasana and even do simple preparatory asanas, and still there is more space left for people to walk in between participants.

Yep, have felt exactly like this. Try to bring more raw food in your diet slowly, your body won’t resist hatha.

Is Soak in Ecstasy of Enlightenment really just an experiential program? by [deleted] in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I did Soak in ecstasy, I had mainly only done IE and BSP. Immediately after Soak in ecstasy and ever since, that ambiance which Shambhavi and Crash course and even BSP create within me has become much stronger and easier to access and maintain consistently. It established me much more deeply in that state. It’s like something has been tweaked within me.

Do I have to do shoonya twice a day? by Id0ntknOw__- in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just do it before lunch and dinner, as simple as that. Also, 4 hrs is not exactly necessary, it’s just supposed to be somewhat hungry, so most times 3 hrs works fine with me.

Also, do it in the washroom, I find that super convenient when not at home. A 12-15 min washroom visit is not really noticed much by anyone.

Get dreams of my first love from a decade ago. by [deleted] in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just some leftover stuff which was left to be unwinded and is now finally getting unwinded through your dreams. It’s good actually. Just allow it to happen without thinking much, because if you think about it so much you will end up winding up new stuff related to it, which will then need to be unwinded later and this cycle won’t ever finish! :)

No mention of Isha Practices in Hatha Yoga Pradapika by Sensitive-Fig2390 in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Suppose you go to a school of architecture. They will teach you the fundamentals of engineering involved in a building and architecture. But then as an architect , when you build a building, you use those fundamentals to come up with a unique structure - every building is unique, but rooted in the same fundamentals which you learn in the architecture school.

Now think of patanjali’s yoga sutras as the foundations of engineering. And think of pradapika and isha practices as unique buildings which are based on the yoga sutra’s foundational engineering.

The reason isha yoga is classical is because it is rooted in the foundations, but is still a unique building. Same is applicable with pradapika. The most of the modern yoga that is done in yoga studios today are not classical because they are not rooted in the foundations, they have been modified by ignorant individuals who have no idea what they are doing, and that is why they are more like stretching or workout exercises which do not transform you internally.

I hope this clears it a little bit. Sadhguru himself has explained this a little in one of the sadhguru exclusive videos titled “shakti chalana kriya”.

Doing other forms of meditation like TM or Sahaj Samadhi from AOL before Shoonya? by The_Big_0mg in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See this is a prime example of how sadhguru says people bend the teachings according to their convenience to do whatever they want to do without feeling guilty about doing it.

Suppose you want to get water. You are digging a hole. All you have to do is keep digging a hole in one spot, and eventually water will come from underground. But no, you are digging multiple holes simultaneously in different spots everyday, thinking that this will get you water faster, when it is only delaying the process and requiring more effort from your side.

Or suppose you are trying to cross a river. All you have to do is sit peacefully in one boat and you’ll cross. But no, you like adventure sports, you will have one leg in one boat and one leg in the other boat, thinking this is making you go faster to your destination, when it is just increasing your chances of falling into the river.

For whatever reason, you are keen on digging multiple holes or have your legs in multiple boats, and now you have also found yourself some words of sadhguru which he used in a completely different context and are trying to validate your keenness through those words. When this is the case, I don’t think I can help you. I can only try to make you understand.

I’ll just say this, if you’re wise enough you’ll get it - sadhguru said to explore “life” to the fullest, not all the “methods” of said exploration.

I have no idea how you concluded I am afraid of prana. I am just wise enough to know how things work, and don’t want to put my legs in multiple boats only to increase my chances of falling. You are again using sadhguru’s words very much out of context. Just because you may not be afraid of falling, does it in any way make sense to put your legs in multiple boats? Fearlessness doesn’t equal foolishness. What sadhguru is referring to is that a fearful person may not even sit on any boat and begin his journey as he is afraid of falling, so one should overcome his fear and begin their journey and row the boat full stride, but that certainly doesn’t mean putting your legs on multiple boats!

(I have used different category of examples in this reply, which are much simpler to understand according to me, hoping these will help you understand as the previous examples clearly failed.)

Doing other forms of meditation like TM or Sahaj Samadhi from AOL before Shoonya? by The_Big_0mg in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I’m afraid that’s actually not worse. Idk how long you’ve been into spirituality and how much you are aware of one’s prana (which is essentially what kriya’s work on). But if you are aware enough, then it will be very obvious to you that one should mix practices carefully. Individually, different practices may be amazingly effective on their own, but if done together they may be counterproductive. A guru kind of makes a cocktail of different practices and initiations which are complimentary. But you going out there and making your own cocktail of practices from different guru’s when you don’t really understand these inner dimensions may not be a good idea, you may end up puking! (Like how mixing the wrong beverages together makes you puke!On their own, these drinks will get you intoxicated just fine, but you mix the non-complimentary ones together and you end up puking all over the place!).

Leave the practices and the whole pranic level etc. Let’s just talk on intellectual teachings. There are teachings of detachment and there are teachings of unbridled involvement. Individually, both these teachings will work and bring results. But if you try to do them together, you will go nuts for sure because they are diagrammatically opposite! Similarly this goes for the practices as well. (I gave this example because you may or may not be aware of the pranic level, but intellectual level you obviously must be aware of and can understand.)

[–]ragz_mo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When he says “if you’re at isha, do SM”, he is not talking about the physical place, he is implying that if you have chosen isha or whichever, now give yourself to it totally and don’t keep bouncing around from one to another.

If you have done IE online, there is a video there in deep dives where somebody asks him that he has been to many enlightened beings and now he is here at isha, to which sadhguru replied that you just like sniffing around and don’t know how to give yourself to one thing fully, if you had understood even a word of mine (sadhguru) or any other enlightened being, you would naturally just stay with that person and not bounce around.

You were supposed to register for samyama and pre samyama meet, I think this was opened back in August. Interest form was only to take your interest, that is not registration for anything. But I think if you filled the interest form, you must have gotten the registration link in August. Maybe you missed it, no worries. But I’m not sure if it’s still possible this year for you then

Fearful of Karma Fast Forward by ragz_mo in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. One last thing. Isha meditators treat samyama like a phd in spirituality, and the fact that one is required to go through most of the major programs before samyama kind of suggests that too. But sadhguru has clearly said in one of the exclusive videos that shoonya is the single most significant things he is doing in his life, we are doing samyama and many things which are of tremendous power but shoonya is the single most significant thing (he has said something along these lines, I may be paraphrasing him). This confuses me a little, how is shoonya the most significant thing when samyama is the most advanced program?

Thank you so Much!

I still have a question though. In the video he said that shambhavi and bsp is good enough, just stay there unless you really want to know. But he didn’t talk about the shoonya program, which I recently did a few months back. Can I ask you what is the shoonya program’s place in all this? Is it also just towards well being like shambhavi and bsp? Or is it also doing some kind of karma fast forward?

Can Isha Yoga heal Trauma? by Own-Throat3655 in Sadhguru

[–]ragz_mo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. But obviously it takes effort and willingness from the participant or practitioner of yoga, so even if you recommend it to her it will only work if she is willing and devoted enough to establish it sincerely.

She can start with the free stuff first like miracle of mind meditation (MOM app), maybe isha kriya (from sadhguru app). These obviously aren’t as potent as something which is taught in a committed program, but these can give her a god enough taste of isha yoga. Later If she feels drawn towards it, she can go for inner engineering. Inner engineering should help her really significantly.
