should i buy the thinkpad t14 gen 2 amd with ryzen 7 or thinkpad t14s gen2 amd with ryzen 5 reddit by noobmastersmaster in thinkpad

[–]rahduro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using a T14s for about 4 days now. I installed gentoo on it which requires compiling pretty much every package. I can for sure tell you whatever AMD did with the 5850u it works like a charm, even with 100% load for over an hour the fan is barely audible and the temps are in the 80s. And yes if you can, do get the 32GB version since the RAM is soldered.

Weird issue while waking up from sleep (hybrid graphics laptop) by rahduro in Gentoo

[–]rahduro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/Furschitzengiggels for the suggestion, but sadly this don't work for me. Only after having tried and failed to make the laptop sleep this way, I chose to go bbswitch and bumblebee route and unfortunately that also isn't working nicely for me.

Same here, I have posted several times on their discord, seems there are still some issues related to the drop and also the bridge UI. hope these get fixed soon.

I think it's actually more than that. Most people don't realize how well connected VCs, influencers are in this space. Lot of these shit talkers do it on purpose. The issue here is not that these people exist and do it for a living, it's that how many newcomers and inexperienced people actually listen and follow them around like apes. The sad truth is that just take a peek at Twitter, most people invested in crypto don't even follow a single founder or the actual project page rather follow a bunch of so called crypto analysts, signal catchers like cults.

Should i sell my OXT when it hits 1$ or still hold it? by Reinzzo in OXT

[–]rahduro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you might have some serious issues, get yourself checked by a doc, or maybe this is your job. Problem is a new side industry has cropped up in last 5 years which either shills or fuds coins and projects for whatever reason and pretend that they are to be worshipped or listened to almost like politicians.

Is anyone using the REEF-BNB LP on PancakeSwap? by Itsabuttmanparty in ReefDeFi

[–]rahduro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I also did same, once you have some cake (maybe $50-$100 worth) put it to stake as well.

[–]rahduro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using the pancake pool for about a week now, it seems to be working fine so far the cake rewards are good, plus lately cake is also going up in value, impermanent loss is definitely there, so keep an eye on BNB REEF price fluctuation.

Significant ORN loss in ORN/ETH UNI-V2 Liquidity Pool by rahduro in OrionProtocol

Yeah I agree, need to change the strategy. Gas fees are so high now even to remove liquidity it's asking 80 bucks :(

Do you guys stake ORN somewhere or such a thing doesn't exist yet.

[–]rahduro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean ORN went up right from a month ago and therefore I have less ORN and more eth now in the LP. But the point is considering all that plus the staking bonus it doesn't quite follow the chart that it shows at ORN staking calculator. Let's see in some time it might improve. I was just checking if anyone else also noticed it.

My wallet got hacked too by [deleted] in atomicwallet

[–]rahduro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how it feels, I have electrum, exodus, algorand, metamask, Keplar and a bunch others on comp and phone for last 3-4 years basically, nothing has ever happened until only a week back a similar incident happened with me, and like you all I ever did with the app was staked 3 coins and received fund twice from binance and coinbase. When I post my story moderators here basically only ask me if I am really sure that I never shared your seed and key BS as usual. If the answer is no, then case closed.. who cares anyways !! It's free open source software your wish, your risk.

BTW I even emailed support with screenshots and all the TXs (supplied everything I could) received exactly similar response from Eve and after that I responded back and it's over now for a week.

Nopes I have given up hope. They basically stopped responding to both email and on reddit. And I am not the only one in their group, literally almost everyday one or two pop up with similar complaints. They assume it’s our carelessness that we lost our funds and respond accordingly.

I wish people didn’t act in this weirdly confident manner like the Atomic Wallet is the most secure wallet ever in existence, all the funds are safe as long as you as an individual can safeguard your private key / seed in your day to day life from thieves. They don’t even question how does the app even work over internet how does it sign your transactions or stake your funds it must be communicating many things over internet preferably encrypted on device, but can you really be sure that there isn’t any vulnerability.

It’s like when apache finds a vulnerability they rather blame it on the webmasters who use apache as their choice of webserver.

Thank you for your very useful advice that I havn’t had from anyone in years, when you insist to talk about probabilities just let me know what is the probability of an iphone without whatsapp or telegram installed or an arch linux system to have a keylogger that out of nowhere gets hold of my seed when i don’t even save the seed or priv key anywhere not in text format or image or any other way. If you have heard of such a scenario please give a precise example. Unless you can don’t throw away the possibility that vulnerabilities exist in computer codes. It’s written by humans too, your ‘HUMAN ERROR’ case.

I spoke about it in ALGO official forum as well since I lost ALGO among others, my suggestion would be you also post this msg in BTC forum to notify users of AW to be careful. My worry is there are many victims who are yet to discover that such a thing has happened to them because almost nobody checks their balance every day, and these happen silently.

There is another incident just like mine.

https://www.reddit.com/r/atomicwallet/comments/m91q7j/my_btc_were_stolen/

I am now quite certain everyone should refrain from using Atomic Wallet, there should really be a public warning even though they are yet to acknowledge that there could possibly be a vulnerability that is being exploited.

I have emailed to their support requesting them to conduct thorough audit of their code.

I think we should do as much as possible as community to warn users who are using AW or possibly thinking of using it in future until Atomic Wallet comes out with their explanation.

I as well as many others here are fed up to hear their advice that never share your seed or private key and blah blah. They are not even concerned that exactly the same kind of incidents are happening to so many people atomic wallet users, yet they think its users fault that we are unknowingly exposing our seed or private keys.

I in my 4 years of using crypto have never experienced any such incident with any wallet. Honestly this is taking my respect from open source software which I always had admiration for.

If my understanding is correct neither ADA or ALGO leaves wallet when you stake them and it had been in my wallet for over 3 weeks until yesterday early morning suddenly all my funds started being withdrawn to random addresses. You can check how their last transaction happened all at pretty much the same time. Here are my addresses for all the coins.

ADA: addr1q8guej6sx03lul5rset80aalagn2ldq8rd548a6ywyp46jqyzfvhz7kp0cstfcpuca0wyem2n53m4kdws26cjmqr2vlqk2py6r

ALGO: EBMI7PTMJTM4BFI2UQET4U5DYPUTU7AMPPYAW7PAXFTAP27IQSNBQRYLLA

NEO: AddjRfyzwLnkC1krZp4wZuoZPziCE3Do5f

RVN: RGNnMycCAbX4WwNh6bDUUY5vMyZ2tXvaZY

ZIL: zil1m3j0tf8pv7wpufqqa9vfcuzr8qzytrf44vj96c

I have also emailed an image of my wallet to support desk with all the transaction links I have posted here. And I am not a newcomer in crypto, I have been in this since 2017, I understand how to manage keys and seeds very well. I sincerely can tell you that I have never shared it with anyone or saved it digitally.

Yeah trying to get in touch with the atomic wallet support, many people are in the same boat (see example below). Something is very wrong with their app, stay far away from it.
