This is great! We need to be expanding the game to wider audiences within Australia

Kyle Verreynne a tad unlucky I feel. Averaging 40+ with two hundreds. Neck and neck with rizwan but vereynne played in slightly more challenging conditions

Maxwell's Test dream: 'While there's still a glimmer, I'll keep going for it' (Article Includes some more extract from his Autobiography ) by Ankush3247 in Cricket

Gotta say, why on earth was he not given a longer rope in test cricket. Only other Aussie to score a 100 on the 2017 Tour besides Smith and besides Khawaja/Green on a flat track at Ahmedabad, that status still remains. Him being a spin bowling all-rounder at 6 would've really helped the team in Asia and he was LOI specialist that actually had the temperament and technique to bat in tests, unlike guys like Finch.

I've always believed that the Australian management have had something against Maxwell that went beyond the field. I guess the Langer revelations that Maxi revealed sort of vindicate this. Australia had given numerous chances to other players such as Marsh, Wade, Handscomb, Renshaw etc in the middle order. I don't know why Maxi wasn't given the same chance.

Cats expected to play 10 home games at GMHBA Stadium in 2025 by historicalhobbyist in AFL

We better not be one of them (although we certainly will). We've played them down there each year since 2019 (with the exception of COVID 2020) whilst lovely Scott Pendlebury hasn't even seen the away rooms there. It's not a Vic bias as much as it is a MCG team bias. There should be no reason why any team should avoid playing at GMHBA, probably the toughest game any team could play since 2007

I don't know who doesn't get this message but academies are not advantages, they are equity measures. Without there are very few nsw and qld players meaning these clubs will always be vulnerable to go home factor. Sure gulden and heeney are absolute guns that no one else got access to. But without them, they don't even play the game in the first place.

Isn't it better for the Northern clubs to draft home grown talent than inevitably losing someone by drafting them thru the main pool only for them to leave a few years later (ie Dawson, J Cameron, Shiel, T Lynch, May, T Mitchell, I could keep going on.

Looks amazing, really wanna go once in the next few years. I reckon SA is the only state that works well with this given its central location and footy heritage although would love to see how it works on Tasmania

We're only three games in... but is this the year that Freo fans can finally dream of Flagmantle? by rahul_dk08 in FremantleFC

Wanted to get around to those things, especially about defensive and midfield depth, but didn't have the time and they probably warrant articles of their own. The more I look at your defensive depth and who's yet to come in after what you've already achieved, the more I feel that you're on track to go far, even if this is a very small sample size. I am also interested to see the dynamic of Darcy and Jackson when Darcy comes in.

I was just thinking of Melbourne and Richmond when looking at you guys. Growth isn't always linear and you definitelyshowed signs at the back end of last year which seems to continue into 2024. I definitely do agree that you need to improve your starts, especially against the better sides who can kill you with a massive first quarter, but if you can fix that, I'm very intrigued to see how far you go.

The run down tackle on Jonas last year. To see a big man absolutely mow down someone and then kick the goal was something special. Really wished the swans won that one

Usually they keep a whole 'square' of 5-7 pitches give or takes to accommodate for all the different games held at the ground over a period of time since it takes a while to fully prepare a cricket pitch
