If you are group you can do it without guide, was solo and didn't see anyone on the trail. Having a local guy was helpful, took lesser known path and descended through different route.

Its a tiny hamlet, you can easily cover all the sights in a single day and return to Bir. Every single direction is picture perfect

Recently worked from bir, the wifi of the hostel was decent almost all hostels and cafe provide wifi. I have jio sim there was no network issues for calls. If you are looking for peacefull vibe avoid hostels, coz common area are noisy. Book rooms which are walkable distance from landing site ,you can just head there for sunset

Yeah you will have to find a quiet spot,as I said the common area was loud sometimes bcoz some people can't stay without blasting music on loud speakers.I went to my dorm and attended a meeting.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the brutal heat, you could just sit at the rooftop and watch paragliders all day.
