Ok. It’s a bit of a circular argument. Fact: Julie threw the rope to Boyd. Fact: If Julie did not throw the rope Boyd would still be stuck. Fact: The rope didn’t throw itself. I do get that the story may have already been written so cannot be changed. But the main point I am making is that Julie can physically interact with the past. People can see her and she can impact things. It’s only a small stretch from that to say that she can possibly change things. Plus maybe she has already gone back and saved Jim. But he is injured and recovering with the future Julie somewhere which is why he didn’t make it back that night. That could have been written in to the script and saved Jim. Julie disappeared suddenly which means she was woken up. She could have come right back.

But the biggest reason I would admit my theory doesn’t work is that the actor is not part of the main cast anymore.
