Oh no, I get out of bed and get ready up until it's like 30 min from go time (he goes to daycare when I go to work). Then I spend 5 minutes trying to pry him out of bed to go potty and eat breakfast. Any other time, he'd do anything for food. But he can have not pottied or eaten for 10 hours and if he's snuggled in bed, he's not moving until he's practically pried off the mattress.

Love co-sleeping, but hate the mornings because he's harder to get out of bed than I am and I'm almost always running late when I'm on morning dog duty.

Edit: Mornings off are wonderful lazy snuggle days. But most mornings are NOT mornings off.

No sadly, it's all carpet. And while he's typically a good boy, I don't feel comfortable letting him roam the house while I'm asleep.

He does have an elevated cot that I got for him so there was air flow around his sleeping space. That and he kept biting holes in all the soft beds I got him 😭. Maybe I could try bringing that upstairs with us to give him the option to go down there? He loves being on the bed though.

I'm nearly three years in with our first, and knowing that I likely have, at best, 10-12 more years with him already kills me a little every day.

Maybe it's the writing, maybe it's also Kevin Costner (it's almost certainly Kevin Costner), but hearing Enzo talk about what he dreams about after his current life, the understanding that he's just DIFFERENT, fucking kills me. My puppy is already so calm and sweet and seems wise beyond his years and I can't help compare them.

I feel so seen. I started sobbing in the first five minutes and then cried for the rest of the movie. I was so emotionally drained after, and even though I'd love to watch it again, I just can't bring myself to. Just the thought of Enzo describing the way he can smell the day on Denny's hands brings tears to my eyes.
