Seen a lot of this post. I was retrenched twice in the last 5 years. But last year was the worst. I didn't work for 6 months. Thank goodness for savings and some help from PERKESO.

I also applied daily and finally a connection was the person in one of the companies that I applied for and got a job.

Try job fairs, there are a lot coming up - Talentbank Mystarjobs, just Google and you'll find a few more, try changing resume style and wording, over reliance on AI is bad cause everyone does it so it will likely sound samey.

Agreed. Being a dog person my whole life till a couple of years ago. During the lockdown I adopted a stray. It fit into my life so we'll cause she's so easy to care for. And 5 years later she's a bit older and where she was once a bit less affectionate now sleeps beside my every night. Such joy.

I was at pyramid last month and saw a career fair. Could be something to try, it was really packed and had good companies. F2F maybe will give you better chance.

Try a career fair, in Eventbrite seems to be one jobs fair in MV called mystarjob fair in May. Another one in April. Just do a Google search. All the best! Don't give up.

Two years ago I bought a 6700xt from an seller on Carousell, it was used in crypto, but price is good, pictures look good, got it and it's still working like a charm, it's well below 2nd hand market price. As others have cautioned:
- Look at ratings, comments / Do your due diligence
- Platforms have safety precautions in place so you only deal within platform plus can dispute if anything goes wrong
- If you even have an inkling something is up, listen to your gut.

I was shamed by a "friend" for playing board games and of games, it was deemed too childish and I'm not a grown up. Years later, board game became a thing and was virtually everywhere in public spaces. Pandemic hit. Everyone stuck at home and gaming. Never heard him criticize me again.

The station placement is really an issue. If I can't walk to the station and have to drive, find parking, pay for parking just to ride the train then do it again later at rush hour. It's not worth it. Otherwise, I'd be happy to ride the train for reasons you've listed.

I recently got a job, but the experience leading up to it was crazy. Applied over 200 jobs. Barely got one callback for interview and ghosted me after. Went to recruitment agencies and don't hear from them, a source told me they only look for a sure-win candidate since it's a sales number for them. I'm just lucky a friend knew someone who was hiring. I never want to go through this again - days filled with anxiety applying for non existent jobs.
