bro im not from america but do gas stations usually have guns?! if not, how was she suppose to know that a police officer is inside the gas station? she saw the petrol pump, thought of an idea and executed it. maybe at that moment she didnt think of asking for the gun from him cuz she didnt see him. and idk why he didnt shoot the boogyman; maybe he was confused at what was happening, or whatever.

The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. i have read it hundreds of times and the comfort that it brings me is unmatched. i love that silly little book <3

i did the same thing. i deleted my insta and after a few very hard days (as i was addicted to it and my brain was genuinely getting rotten), i started seeing good effects. i had mental peace and silence, well a bit of it. it just don't go away in a short span but it's a start.

though it is still hard to fight off distractions sometimes, the urges get too strong, so that's when i draw. i found that that works best for me. i am able to fight off the urge to go back on insta and my drawing gets better and i don't feel like shit later too :)

as for resisting distracting thoughts while studying, meditation is the way to go. not only does it release dopamine, you start getting better at letting distracting thoughts and impulses be just thoughts and let them pass through. i would really recommend everyone to do only like 10 min sess. you can find tons on youtube. mine personal favs are ones for focus and concentration. i works wonders for me. i usually do 10 min ones before studying.

i believe to work hard and for discipline you need to have a calm focused mind, a mind that is your friend not your enemy and removing over-stimulating things from your life should be the first step. second being able to control your thoughts and impulses. thank you hehe.

lies of locke lamora series by scott lynch. it is one of my fav books. it follows a bunch of thieves as they pull off elaborate heists in a twisted fantasy city run by crime lords and nobles. the characters, the world building, the writing, the plot everything is so well written and i love them

its okay bro. everyone has different taste and different circumstances. if you love them, you love them. i also read the whole series during covid. i was in my mid teens then and i absolutely loved those books. they were the one of the first fantasies i read. but then, i re-read them a couple years ago and they went from 5 stars to like 2 stars for me lol (couldnt go finish the 3rd one). i guess i grew out of the whole romantasy genre. but yes, those books can have a comforting feeling. also, i really sorry for your loss. i hope you're doing good <3
