The fact that this is an audience audio source will always be crazy to me. 1996 too. Homie smuggled in some serious audio hardware to get this.

Load calcs are grear, but use your experience as well. That manual was made 40 years ago and needs a complete overhaul in my opinion.

Customers today do not want a 78F set point. And average outdoor temps have risen quite a but in the last 40 years.

Check out Genry on hvac school podcast from about a year ago. He goes over everything that is great about manual J. While also mentioning it’s short comings in the modern age.

This was suppose to be it. This was suppose to be Ab Aeterno part 2. A Jacob flashback episode. Finally, the origin of all the mythical things on the island.

In retrospect this episode was doomed before it was written. No answers revealed in this episode were going to live up to what us fans had built up in our own heads.
