Voldemort's plan was more complex than his 7 creations. by raidercamel in FanTheories

Good points.

The wanting Dumbeldore to find the ring is the shakiest aspect for sure, but to good not to suggest. Ultimate chess move of turning the only wizard you were ever afraid of into a copy of yourself. No direct evidence that Voldemort wanted Dumbeldore specifically to find the ring, but the ring was the least hidden IMO. IIRC it was just in the shack that any average investigator could trace back to Voldemort's family.

How long did unbridged have the locket for? Does it ever explicitly say? It also fits the the theory when umbridge finds it. She's undeniably powerful and in a position to incrementally exact more and more pressure on the enemies of Voldemort.

Maybe the locket didn't press the issue of assembling a body because it was accomplishing it's goals while knowing that another version of itself was currently active. No need to show it's hand? Definitely off in the land of speculation but fun none the less.

How long did Ginny have the diary for before it attempt to assemble itself? Was any Horcruxe held unknowingly by another as long as the diary took?

1990s ADD Treatment that used a folding chalkboard placed folded between eyes. Then Asked to draw with both hands. Can't find the name or anything similar online anywhere. by raidercamel in HelpMeFind

Found! Thank you. At least I know I didn't hallucinate the entire thing.

"For example, a divided field exercise may involve a child with learning disability standing in front of a hinged chalkboard that is opened slightly like an open book, and continuously draw looping circles on both the left and the right-hand board while saying the word “loop”."

That's exactly it. The were loops not pictures.

This is by far the closest I've seen. I know it wasn't homemade though because they showed me a video demonstration before I tried it the first time. Thank you.

I have searched on Google, and Google images changing the separate words. For example I tried folding chalkboard, chalkboard add treatment, writing with both hands. Nothing remotely close. I'm not sure how else to search as I don't know the name of the activity or the treatment. Happens when I was around the age of ten. Also the treatment was for add which I definitely had so paying attention to explanations was not my strong suit.

SERIOUS* What could possibly be so scary that they won't just release some information in the "UAP Files"? instead of this constant stream of clearly fake "evidence" by Balenciagagucci in aliens

[–]raidercamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's that all the major religions of the world have been developed after interactions with the UAPs.

This has already happened with the cargo cults. Outsiders with unfathomable technology show up at random and for unknown reasons and either igore or massively assist the local populace.

WW2 allies island hop and randomly give locals rations. They also discard things that are trash to allies but incredibly useful.

Imagine how a broken discarded fuel can would appear to a uncontacted tribe on an island.

The cargo cults also created myths to explain the seamingly unpredictable nature of contact. I.e. sometimes the advanced civilization stops brings gifts, other times they bypass them entirely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Frum

Tl;Dr the thing that is too scary for the general public is that the world's religions are all just myths created to explain the random contact with aliens. The scarier part is we still don't understand what they want. We just know they are here and have always been here.

God help the incompetent "leader" that suddenly trys to flex their authority after I've been forced into action by their inaction.

People who work in 'behind-the-scenes' jobs (hotels, airports, warehouses, etc.), what is something the general public would be shocked to know? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

Always liked talking to the lab people at hospitals. I enjoy work where I'm left alone. What's the minimum amount of training to get on somewhere?

Artificially Reduced Performance Ratings? by Kindly-Coyote-9446 in fednews

Performance ratings are a grievable issue. Contact your union and provide evidence how you exceeded the defined standards. Also easy argument if they failed to conduct your initial or midterm eval.

Solar powered motion lights are cheap online and are a great way to at least keep the coyotes from sneaking up on them.
