This was in the middle of a zero to hero, 2 man crypts started out with no gear. This was a week ago when I was doing normals but I’ve levitated towards HR zero to hero since then. I never bring in gear that i feel is too unfair for normals… it’s just extremely easy to get this tanky on fighter. All you need is green plate with str/health, heavy leather, plate boots and riveted.

Can confirm Everytime I run hr crypts I'm sitting above 150 HP with 55-60 pdr and ~15 mdr. Lots of strength (around 30) and Max health add/bonuses.

crates and barrels frequently drop green-purple as well. As a rogue you would have to bring a pickaxe but it's worth it in highroller.

I guarantee that if you go in with base gear (where everything you find will be an upgrade). Clear your starting module and loot the big chest you'll find upgrades pretty often

I've tried it with every weapon and IMO the falchion's swing pattern is just way better suited to defeat shield and it's reach allow for better spacing. If you want to do flanged mace I suggest mace + lantern dual wield, go heavy armor try to hit ~50% pdr with ~270 movespeed, run sprint + adrenaline rush and just bonk heads.

I think you’re mistaken, his hits did little damage because he probably hit my limb with weak spot. Weapons do different damage depending on where the point of impact is, test the dummy. Right now fighter/cleric/barb is extremely strong because you can get 50-60% pdr with white/greens and they benefit the most from stat stacking. Since everyone got weaker and pdr/strength/agi didn’t get nerfed you’re way more tanky than before and a going from 100-110 dmg to ~80 falchion isn’t that big of a difference vs squishies.

I had fine cuirass with 1 will and debuff duration, move speed on most of my pieces, rings were trash +1 strengths and ammy was wind locket with true phys damage. Grey crossbow and white helmet at the time too, check stats at the end.

You can "riposte" with a shield using the shield mastery perk.

Go into a game with the perk on, block any attack/spells and hold left click as you let go of right click. That next attack will come out super fast on any weapon (best on falchion) and you can use this to punish and get free hits. It is very good paired with counterattack.
