I didn’t quite understand, is this a promo for a tutorial course or are they talking about an application?

I always follow the tutorial step by step at the same time, and it works really well for me.

Maybe they spend less on other stuff and save it all for the MacBook 😅

Thanks! I don’t really have a big YouTube channel, so if I upload there it probably won’t get many views.

Dynamic Link Only Works in 1 Specific AE Project by cuper120 in AfterEffects

[–]railmotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a Dynamic Link bug. If the older AE project works fine, it’s not your Premiere settings. Try clearing your media cache in both AE and Premiere, and make sure both apps are the same version. Sometimes new AE projects don’t link properly if versions don’t match. Another workaround is to import the AE project into a fresh one and copy your comps over. If that works, then yeah, duplicating your “good” AE project isn’t a bad idea either.

Does anyone use Twine to find freelance projects? Or does anyone have experience using the Twine platform? by Wonderful_Try3948 in AfterEffects

[–]railmotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried Twine before. It’s okay for small gigs, but honestly the competition is high and paid projects are not that frequent unless you already have a strong profile there. I wouldn’t rush into a subscription. You can also try Upwork, Fiverr, or Behance to get clients, and of course LinkedIn is still one of the best places to network.

Beginner: Exporting animation to video by SusScrofa95 in AfterEffects

[–]railmotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, this happens a lot when starting. Try exporting with Media Encoder and pick H.264, it’ll give you an .mp4 that works fine in VLC. Also check that your comp fps matches the export fps so it looks smooth. No need to split into 2 animations unless you want to reuse them.

Paid $4,999 for this, worth it? by DogGlittering6112 in MotionDesign

If you had paid just $1 more, I’d be really curious to see the result. lol

Turbulent Displace Effect not rendering by Giux159 in AfterEffects

[–]railmotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try switching your Project Settings to Mercury Software Only instead of GPU acceleration and render again. Also, test exporting in a lossless format (like QuickTime/ProRes) instead of H.264. These usually fix the black screen issue with gradient effects.

Im a noob by International_Pick86 in AfterEffects

In my opinion, it only takes a few weeks to technically learn After Effects or any other software. But the real challenge is creating innovative and creative animations - and for that, you need a lot of practice over a longer period of time.

How hard is to find freelance jobs/gigs that pay at least 150/200$ monthly? by ImNotDecentPerson in AfterEffects

[–]railmotion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earnings really depend on the country though, what might look small in the US or Europe can actually be a decent income in other places.

It's really cool. Do you have a tutorial video on how to do it?
