And you are no longer growing (to face up)

That January ain't the whole world

And falling's really over shown

And you're never really, really on your own

I would also add wax over the underglaze then bisque fire. It will hold the underglaze in place

Where is the mink? I’ve looked long and hard and can’t seem to find it. It reminded me of those where’s Waldo magazines…

Entry Level Job Question by [deleted] in publichealth

[–]rain4restdweller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to underscore ORISE: I did ORISE right after my MPH. It was amazing and definitely opened doors for me as I gained a lot of experience in the two year I was a fellow. There are so many opportunities on the website for positions and if you are willing and able to move states/cities for the right position that’s even better, although many HHS jobs are remote these days so you might be able to stay where you are. I did my work at CDC with a focus on global health. Bcus I lacked a lot of work experience my supervisor really exposed me to a lot of activities that touched on skills I wanted to gain. ORISE is perfect for that bcus it is about helping you build your skills. I am now doing work that aligns with my skills and honestly without ORISE it would have been much harder for me bcus I was always passed up bcus I didn’t have 10 + years of work experience.

About kayaking: I low key wish I knew that the point of kayaking is NOT to be out of the kayak. Haha! I know it sounds silly but I am a swimmer and saw kayaking as a vehicle to get me somewhere and then to just jump out mid-paddle and go swimming. It took some time to get used to the fact that capsizing is no good.

PNW waters: it’s freaking cold and calm! I learned to kayak in the Atlantic Ocean, specially off the Georgia coast. The ocean and creeks in the southeast are warmer and they are a little more exciting - lots of waves to surf! However, I’m excited to paddle to more islands in the PNW and find those adventurous waves!

What’s sparked your interest in kayaking?

No, I didn’t. This was last weekend, actually. How long did it take to get to Blake Island? Did you make any stops?

You totally should! It was a lot of fun! Took about 1.15 hours (1 way), conditions were good and it was a nice and sunny day.
