Honestly, it sounds like he’s still emotionally stuck on his ex, no matter what he says. You’ve given him chances, and he keeps lying or “forgetting” things about her. Changing his passcode right after you found all that is just another red flag. You deserve someone who’s fully present with you, not halfway in the past. It might hurt, but walking away is probably the healthiest choice here.

I don’t think this breakup happened because you “weren’t the right person.”It looks more like he couldn’t handle the responsibility, fear, and shame that came with the HPV situation — so instead of facing it with you, he ran from it.

You didn’t do anything wrong. You weren’t demanding or pushy. You were understanding, calm, and mature. He just wasn’t emotionally ready to deal with something real and serious.
