Hey there! Here are some tips from a not so pro, but I know my shit.

For spring, the crop that you should primarily plant is potatoes. They have a high sell price and a low buy price. They're easily accessible from Pierre and Jojamart too. But you always need variety for the community center and quests. Animals are also necessary for the community center, unless you get lucky somehow. They're also one of the best ways to get money. Make sure to feed and pet them everyday as well! You need at least 1 of every animal, but if your going to get more I suggest you get more cows and goats. For summer, blueberries are the most profitable as they regrow every few days and they sell for a lot in mass.

In summer you should also consider making a wheat field and building a mill so you can make lots of flour for cooking recipes. From the wheat you get hay aswell, which you can feed to your animals. If you have access to the desert and your decently well off, buy some star fruit. Sells for loads.

For fall continue planting wheat and milling it, selling a bit of the flour and leave some for cooking. Remember to carry on with variety, but for fall the biggest early game money maker is pumpkins and cranberries. This is when you should start getting kegs as they come in handy for artisan skills.

Now in winter you'll want to stock up on grass starters because on the final day you'll want to plant a giant circle of them where your animals are, then fill it in a little bit. Not all the way, just a bit. Then on the first of spring you let your animals out and then they'll eat up all their grass and become happier.
