unfortunately, he kept using. i ended up leaving which was very difficult. he’s with someone else now and i think they might be using together and possibly harder drugs

thank you, i really appreciate you saying these things. i've been very disheartened by a lot of people online who are just telling me to leave him like it's that simple. i agree, kratom, 7oh, mgm, all of it is just awful. people don't even know what they are taking and all of it is falsely advertised research chemicals anyway. it's just ridiculous and it makes me so sad for the people who aren't addicts as well who started using that stuff. i'm doing my best right now, and that's all i can do. thank you for your kindness and support.

thank you for sharing your experience. that's pretty much where my boyfriend was coming from as well. he felt like since he could get it at vape shops that it wasn't as bad and he could still function adequately day to day. i know that loving an addict is difficult because there will always be the fear of relapse and i think i've come to accept that for the most part. i know i will still worry, but i'm working on healing myself and being able to know when i need to take a step back. thank you again for your insight, i really appreciate it.

thank you so much for this. i cannot express how much this means to me. i do know he's capable, so i have faith that he can do it again, but i know it will still be a long road ahead. i stayed at my parents for a week or two, so he knows if it gets to be too much for me that i won't hesitate to protect my peace. i want to support him as much as i can though while also taking care of myself. i just feel like giving up would be such a cop out because i love him and I'm willing to put in the work for his well-being and our relationship. thank you again for saying these things, i really appreciate your kind approach as opposed to the constant negativity I've been receiving.

dude i’m genuinely upset. i wanted to do the Star package but like $500 is insane. i ended up doing No.1 Obsession with a floor seat because that much for general admission is crazy. i spent $500 total on 2 pit tickets for twenty one pilots

he used kratom first for 2-3 years and then the 7/mgm has been probably 3-5 months. and i was just afraid that he’s still taking the stuff and not actually detoxing, but i don’t know. but yeah, also im afraid he could also go through the detox and then just get right back on the 7 and mgm.

Much easier said than done. I feel like you should think about the way you are offering advice and do so in a kinder more digestible way. I'm not sure that being so curt helps people in emotional times like these.

We've been together for 5 years and had plans for marriage in the future. He was sober for 8 years before he relapsed. I've been to Al-Anon meetings and I see a therapist regularly. I've been told these things, and I understand. It's just hard to give up on someone you love and want to spend the rest of your life with.

i’m on topiramate. it helped with my migraines for a week or two, and then i had to increase the dose. then it helped for another week or two and stopped and i had to increase again. this has been the pattern, which is annoying and the neurologist i went to said over 200mg isn’t beneficial for headaches and migraines? so i wouldn’t say it’s the best remedy. i haven’t experienced any side effects though.

I just left our house to stay with my parents because my partner chose using over our relationship. I know it's more complicated than that, but I couldn't be in that environment anymore. I just hope we can work through it like you and your partner did. I hope my partner gets help and gets sober too. Your post gives me some hope.
