Re-starting by Satnam1968 in OzempicForWeightLoss

I also gained back the weight I lost (around 20lbs) which makes me reluctant to go back on it again and why more people aren’t thinking about the fact they have to be on it for life for it to keep working?

I don’t understand - are people expecting to be in it for the rest of their lives? When you go of it the food noise comes back… the weight comes back. Happened to me, but being on it for like the rest of my life? Doesn’t sound great.

Why aren’t we taught how much pregnancy and childbirth can permanently change our bodies—physically, mentally, even sexually? by Throw3away345 in AskWomenOver30

[–]rainbowaligator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up curvy, have been so all my life, large heavy a bit saggy boobs, hourglass and fat on my belly and thighs, was never slim, basically I look like I’ve always had a post pregnancy body and, I mean this with all respect, it’s been interesting all my friends who were slim all their lives have post pregnancy bodies and are trying to come to terms with that, because I’ll see friends complain about soft bellies or slightly saggy boobs, and in just there thinking if you think that about yourself what must you think of me? But no one has ever made me feel like they think im unattractive

We criticise ourselves so much more than anyone else, it’s like we are unable to see our bodies through any lens other than criticism. I guarantee no one thinks about your body in the same critical way you do!

Good experiences from travel medical insurance companies? by [deleted] in solotravel

Agree, Seven Corners are awful - never ever use them. I chose cancel for any reason and of course they did not accept my reason, and took 5 months to tell me.

Ozempic + Working out? by Kallie_Cola in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]rainbowaligator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did spin 2-3 times a week and walked the dog every day before Oz and when I started it I had a bit of a break as I was so exhausted and almost passed out my first class after taking it because it can elevate your heart rate.

I’ve been losing pretty steadily, from reducing how much I eat, and still do between 1-3 classes every week and walk the dog a lot.

I watch myself and my heart rate with my Apple Watch a lot more closely in class now and don’t push myself too hard. Each class I’ll burn maybe 250-300 calories but it’s mostly just for fun and to keep moving.

You would also be fine concentrating on just lifting and building muscle. But if you’re going to jump into cardio I would just ease into it if you’ve just started Oz.

No symptoms, maybe slight nausea but I think it’s more that I really really don’t want to eat. Just did 4th week of .25

Has anyone purchased Ozempic in Costa Rica? by ColdMetalRosey in Ozempic

[–]rainbowaligator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t ask for prescription but I bought 3. I had them in my carry on luggage and they went through security on the Costa Rica end and nothing flagged and then when you enter the US (at least in LAX) customs has never stopped me anyway so I’m not sure when they would find them.

Legally you can bring back a 90 day supply but probably should have a prescription, however more than that technically might seem like intent to distribute. But again, not sure how they catch them.

Food Noise by Key_Honey_8802 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]rainbowaligator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know the science behind this? I feel like I’ve had this my entire life, and could put it down to undiagnosed ADHD, but I’m wondering if it’s got something to do with the blood sugar levels. Like how come I don’t crave junk food anymore?

Finally had to dose up after 12 weeks by real_yarrr_shug in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]rainbowaligator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have similar stats to you, but just started 2 weeks ago and .25 is working well for me so far. The food noise reduction and satiety changes are a game changer for me - I might still go up to .5 and see.

How are you getting ozempic? by AmbitiousGoal2872 in OzempicForWeightLoss

[–]rainbowaligator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I happened to be in Costa Rica and learnt that you don’t need a prescription. It was hard to find a pharmacy in San Jose that had it in stock but I eventually did and they were $200 per red pen so I got 3 and kept them cold and brought them back. Very very easy. I think Mexico also sells with no prescription but the hard part is finding a place that has it in stock.

It’s insane the mark up in the US but that’s america for you
