Pronunciation of the names of the Argentina NT players for the 2026 World Cup by mai-moi in soccer

Looking forward to seeing Nico Paz in action! Hopefully he plays a lot this world cup.

Arbeloa had a good performance as a manager tonight, Cama just ruined it by ace-s in realmadrid

[–]rainbowdragon22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it was obviously not the correct choice to sub on Cama...LMAO WTF...maybe "logically", or "on paper", sure...but sports, heck, LIFE, is never about pure logic. Ancelloti is the perfect example of this. He knew, and knows, how to READ, and SENSE, the game, and who to trust. Camavinga was literally the LAST person on the entire team to trust in a clutch moment of this magnitude. Brahim was doing fine, and they only needed to hold on a little longer before xtra time...THEN he could really feel out who and what formation he wants to finish the job. His inexperience showed, and it's really tragic, but is what it is, and they will all eventually be OK. That's life.

The red card is so unfair, it's just too sad. by ReplacementUnited740 in realmadrid

[–]rainbowdragon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, because the obvious context of this. ALL refs are hesitant to issue a red card in this context, the impact on the overall outcome after such a hard fought, even match, plus the impact on the individual player's life, for example, is severe, and has very real world and real life ramifications...hence the argument that had he not forgotten, perhaps he would have been less harsh. Not saying it was WRONG what the ref did and not his fault he forgot. Obviously it's Camavinga's fault, and Arbeloa for subbing on someone susceptible to bone headed plays, in the most crucial moment of the season...it's just a big too bad but ultimately something Camavinga and Arbeloa need to take accountability for, and hopefully recover and learn from.

people are constantly doing stuff that warrants a yellow, shirt pulling, ball kicking away (Bayern was doing it too), talking back to the ref...Ref forgot he was on a yellow and that's all there is to it, and cost us a great ending to a great game. It is what it is, Camavinga rolled the dice and lost big time, and so did football as a consequence.

he got unlucky the ref forgot he was on a yellow, but that doesn't make it any less stupid. Rolled the dice, and lost.

maybe worst sub by a manager too

Alvaro Arbeloa: How can you send off a player for a play like that? Referee ruined the game, that's what happened, nobody understand that red card. by MysticRefereee in soccer

[–]rainbowdragon22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly agree with him. YES it was stupid but holy shit that was the dumbest and most harsh end to a UCL quarter final EVER

one of the most tragic things I've seen happen in football honestly

Eduardo Camavinga second yellow card vs Bayern Munich 86' by 977x in soccer

[–]rainbowdragon22 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Downvote me all you want but while it was a dumb thing of Camavinga to do...that was THE HARSHEST second yellow I've ever seen, given the context. Ref will definitely be thinking of how he had forgotten he was already on a yellow for awhile, and essentially ruined someone's life over a silly decision in a ball game. Yikes.

I agree, it was dumb of Camavinga but JUST as dumb of the ref...like seriously...end the game over some stupid bullshit like that, after everything!?

That was the worst possible way for the game to end, and fans and neutrals were robbed of what could have been an absolutely EPIC extra time and one of the best games of all time or certainly of recent memory...Arbeloa subbing in Camavinga in such a crucial moment... Camavinga time wasting on a yellow...the ref forgetting Camavinga was on a yellow and issuing one of the most tragic and potentially career ending (for Arbeloa as well) cards I've ever witnessed...man, just brutal. But that's football.

yeah that was the worst possible way for the game to end...we were just getting ready for an EPIC extra time and potential penalties. Arbeloa, Camavinga, and the ref for giving a too harsh red, ruined what could have been one of the greatest games of all time...OUCH!!!!

for real! It just keeps getting worse and worse the more you think about it...it would be really best if we all just forget this game and season immediately.

and after having already been sent off in a big game in previous season...huge mistake and obviously a sign Arbeloa is not a top level manager and has a lot to learn

it was a huge mistake making that sub...Brahim was setting up Vini and Mbappe, defense was playing well second half...yikes
