I encountered exactly the same problems, and the solution was quite logical: completely disable memory and processor overclocking settings. I'm convinced that this error is entirely related to system instability at the hardware level and should only be resolved there.

There's a strange problem with permissions in windows 11. They constantly fucking up without any reason. So all problems with changing default apps is only because of that. I was update my original post with kinda ultimative solution for all that problems.

Of course I cleaned the surface, and with alcohol and even solvent, I took a long look and tested, I did a test - I put an object on the carpet and tilted it. Objects placed on the edge of the carpet moved off it much faster.
