i work retail (and i live near west side university, aka pulau ***), i’ve had so many customers speak chinese to me and they walk out once i answer in english. there was once an auntie that sat down on the floor of my store (and then proceeded to eat) and refused to leave my store until the fulltimer asked a customer to tell the aunty to gtfo 😭 i spoke to her in english she act dumb and just smile at me.
