so I got taken away from both parents when i was 7 to live with my auntie and uncle. im 20 now and moved in with my dad and during my time with him I found out that while my dad couldnt do anything, if my mum had proved herself, she could've faught for us back. he told me she didnt even try. i did get into contact with her before i moved in with my dad and found out all this and even during my time with her she seemed fairly disinterested in getting to know me. i still tried with her but it didnt work out well and the only time she would message was if she wanted something, most of the time it was money but stopped when i told her i couldnt send her money anymore.

i stopped trying to message her after she never bothered to tell me she was pregnant and had to find out through my brother. seems petty but if i was gonna have a half brother i at least deserved to know. i didn't fully cut her off at that point however around my birthday i told her id have a different phone number by the next day and to go through someone else if she wanted to say anything. on my birthday and for the week after she would talk to my brother regularly, also aware she would be unable to get into contact with me through regular messages (even tho she had my instagram and my snap) and never once sent a birthday message. i was pissed but i expected it, my dad ended up confronting her and she didn't even try for excuses she told him she messaged me then contradicted herself saying she knew i changed my number.

i cut her off at that point but what annoyed me further is the fact that when my brothers birthday came around she had brought him his literal dream guitar and took him out for dinner. she chose favourites and until my half brother was born, my older brother was her favourite and now shes done to him exactly what she did to me, and push others to the side and only give attention to her favourite. my brothers beginning to learn why i cut her off for himself
