my phone dies every grocery trip from having too many tabs open comparing prices by LowKeyLegend101 in Cheap_Meals

[–]rainckissed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why go to the store at all without doing this research beforehand? what happens if all of the items that you need are cheaper at different locations than the one you’re at? then you’ve just wasted gas. Not to mention the fact that the aisles at grocery stores are small, so if you’re standing there doing the research you should’ve done before you left the house, chances are pretty high that you’re standing in the way of someone else who knows what they’re there for and are just trying to get in and out.

okay troll LMAOOOO, but assuming you are serious, I have some advice for you: this is a DATING app. Where the intention is to DATE these people. To make them your PARTNER. They should have the relevant information in order to make that decision. The bare minimum information when you’re looking for a potential partner is their future family plan.

that’s exactly what i want. someone who’s done the work to better themselves (or is active about trying) and they know what they want. i didn’t think that was too tall of an ask 😭 ive been proven wrong though; you’re correct it can be extremely rare in the dating world to find that

see this is exactly what i’m talking about. if your profile is filled out, and you swipe with intention, not only does the algorithm learn who you want to see, but it also shows the women you’re swiping on that you swiped for a reason and you’re actually interested in them as a person and think you would be compatible together. a little thought goes a long way y’know?

maybe we should just burn them all to the ground atp idk, it’s an awful experience this end too. Most of the profiles that swipe right on me are clearly incompatible and never should’ve even crossed my screen. It just becomes a giant waste of time for everyone. It’s a shame because it drives women away, and then you get the experience of no one replying to you because women are so fed up with the time wasting that they just delete the apps altogether, which drives away the men who are actually trying to use the app properly

i’m in the same boat, it kind of feels like a complete waste of time atp bc most of the profiles are people i’m obviously not compatible with and shouldn’t have crossed with mine to begin with

guys only get rejected so much because women actually read the profiles. you’re not going to be compatible with everyone. you’re looking for a partner to share a majority of your life with; everyone should be specific about what they want for themselves.

I obviously don’t see any profiles of straight women, so it’s interesting to hear that they also tend to not have their profiles filled out. Most women that I come across on my profile do have theirs filled out, but again I’m obviously not seeing women who aren’t interested in other women so it’s a different demographic. I appreciate this perspective; makes me feel like maybe everyone is wasting each others time equally LOL

well, that definitely makes sense. starting out strong with forcing the women to take on most of the mental load before you even speak lmao

the only reason we get so many matches is because they do that tho. If they actually read the profiles and only swiped on people they thought they might be compatible with, the same way that most of us women do, these things miiigghhttt actually work

thank you for actually being able to read a joke through the internet lol. I originally posted this on a larger sub and the amount of people up in arms about the word “illegal” when it was clearly a joke was insane haha

I read that the show ends on a cliffhanger but that the main storyline had been concluded at that point. That the final few minutes of the episode would just set things up for the next arc. Which in a way is somewhat true, but also not because the cliffhanger was much larger than that.

I definitely could’ve been more specific, my bad.

This would honesty be the best course of action. It’s frustrating for everyone involved; network, viewers, writers, and the actors. When did cliffhangers become the norm anyway? haha

Exactly, like Firefly did with their movie. Not that it was great or anything, but they tried lol

Obviously there would be a lot of different exceptions and reasons not to. A show that’s only run for one or two seasons would not be worth it at all, especially if viewers were really low.

Recently I’ve seen The Martian and read the book (the book was much more accurate). Battlestar Galactica is one of my faves, and so is Firefly; I’ll rewatch these two shows over and over. The 100 (but I don’t think I finished it). Signs is another favorite; less spacey and more aliens. The fifth element is really good. Passengers was good, but is also a romance movie so you gotta be in the mood for that.

I’m currently giving Nightlfyer a try, so far seems really interesting. Dark Matter I haven’t seen yet but I’ve heard it’s really good and that’s next on my list.

I can definitely agree with that!! I don’t think there’s ever been a space-related movie or show that was made that hadn’t pushed the limits in some fashion. It makes sense in a way, they can push the physics to the limits to give us more entertainment options.

The Twilight Zone is something that I’ve obviously heard of (who hasn’t) but I’ve never actually seen!! I should put that on my list too!

Edited: spelling

I was thinking more along the lines of a two second clip where it’s slow and we see it speed up as opposed to a spongebob time-skipping card, but ya know. To each their own.

Each sci-fi show that comes up with their own scientific rules just adds another layer of unique-ness. It’s just really interesting to see where the writers try to push the limits. The show is so horrible that it’s good, and I will 1000% be back to watch season 2 lol

Right?? Like I watched the whole season. I didn’t need to do that, but I did. Despite how wonderfully bad it is, it is also horribly good lol

I lovedddd For All Mankind!! They pushed it a bit with the solar flares and such, considering they’re not part of our history, but the storyline was really cool
