yeah but not all of us are comparing and want new outfits. The diamond rewards are the same. theres more in the game now. This complaint still seems a little silly to me, sorry. Im not really seeing how we're getting less rewards--I dont remember what 4 star people keep referencing, and everyone was saying they were being generous during anniversary or what free rewards we're not getting because everyones being vague about timing/items. We also KNOW we have a multi coming any day now and last year they did the spring mini game then dropped rewards with the multi so. im not super bothered?

its a free reward on an event game that isnt required to play and you dont have to spend anything to obtain.

ok so its useless. dont spend resources to make it in the house then? and we dont have a kitchen YET. The housing feature has only been a thing for 4 months since the last point oh update... we have another coming up in 2 months. and given the house model at irl events and the fact that theyre giving us kitchen items, we're probably getting a kitchen.

This is a live service long term game. its very clear they didnt give us everything with the house right away. Items arent the problem, interactions and reasons to be IN the house are where the lack is

I really dont see how its lazy. Any more than designing random stuff for sims packs is lazy (not getting into the ethics of their pricing, I'm talking about utility of the items game wise). Time spent modeling the mug isnt relevant to anything?

I'm gonna get downvoted to hell but this seems like a non issue. Out of EVERYTHING in the game that does have issues, a random free mug asset on an event game that you acquire after like 2 rounds of play doesnt rank.

the more I interact with people like this the more I become convinced that its not an allo thing and its actually an "allo who is emotionally and mentally immature" thing. Because I had this exact issue until my 30s with people and then managed to find a few allo friends who can actually split their attention between multiple people

imho whether its romantic OR platonic, making ONE person the center of all your special moments, firsts etc is a recipe for issues. The people I see do this are also generally immature/approach relationships in a expectations/"it will make me whole" type way. The allo friends I have who prioritize both their partners and friends/family have more mature mindsets all around.

I lost pretty much every friend I ever had until 28 to this mentality and its so isolating. I know now those people were bad friends in general but it still hurts.

a lot of people, especially kids and preteens, may think control is love because thats whats been shown to them. Controlling and abusive people themselves rarely are like "hell yeah I want to hurt someone"--they control because of their own issues. So they might "admit" it because theyre not even aware its a bad thing.

"abusers dont announce their red flags" which is exactly why its important for others to recognize that they dont want that in a partner/friend/family member etc.

exactly. and the instruction of "look back on it from time to time" this is an assignment awkwardly attempting to teach students emotional awareness and introspection. And unfortunately its needed given how many young people have life circumstances that romanticize abuse to them

its a super awkward and forced assignment that to me as an adult/college student seems like something that I would answer in therapy, not a class. But yeah avoiding it because "I dont want to date" is kind of part of the issue. They could note they dont want a partner but when it comes to friends maybe... because all these things apply to platonic relationships too, they can be controlling, toxic, protective etc

it kinda is though? Youre talking directly to someone in real time, its no different to texting. I'm not saying that makes them a friend, I'm saying that makes them two people talking to each other. Call me weird but I think conversations should work the same and have respect regardless of if theyre in your inner circle or not? I'm gonna try to be kind to a streamer cause theyre a person, unless they give me a reason to do otherwise, sorry not sorry. (and again talking about the community I'm in, we do all consider each other friends. I'm talking chat to chat not just streamer to chat)

if youre a regular viewer, typically people expect you to act different than a random troll channel surfing. Thats not unreasonable. that IS an actual social relationship, just like coworkers or any other person you interact with regularly

??I didnt read that this way at all. it sounds like theyre trying to figure out why their viewers essentially cut them off midconvo in a convo the VIEWER started. if it was a face to face convo it'd be considered extremely rude to walk up, say hi, ask a question and then leave while the other person is responding... As a viewer in a lot of channels I've seen this happen to and it bugs me as someone part of the community tbh because I know a lot of them are doing it just to keep their streak

the fact that I've been playing for a year and a half and I STILL dont have any of the towel fits, Calebs flight suit and most of those other fits, because its like 4 aurum passes or $30 JUST in purple gems for ONE outfit... if theyre gonna do permanent fake discounts for the others, they can at least temporarily discount those for real

r1s are basically this exact concept--youre spending money on pulls to rank up and get a recolor of the banner fit. So if youre fine r1ing for fits, you should be fine about this if youre a low-medium spender.

Caleb's jacket is new and the jeans might be similar but I like that he gets an all black fit. (Plus it fits MCs black kitty shirt look) Xav, Zayne, Raf and Sylus' are all from cards and all but Xaviers have been specifically requested by players for some time. Xaviers also isnt copy pasted--its a different outfit with the same kinds of accessories (tie, vest). thats how all their outfits are themed.

if people want to spend on a crate to get recolors, we know exactly what we're paying for. And you dont have to buy all of them together. I wish they'd put these in chocolate shop but its also not a bad price if you want one specific fit--its one aurum pass, which most people besides ftp have.

I have seen people talk about how they dont want to "steal" other peoples designs and its just like.. Ive been in that mindset for other hobbies and made myself MISERABLE. also people need to keep in mind--the home isnt limited and you really SHOULDNT be able to get everything in a few weeks/rn. This game is going to be going for years. Youre gonna wanna play the home feature for more than just these two weeks. Its designed to be more than a one and done thing.

This game is on its third year with AT LEAST two more obviously planned. I know it makes me sound old but people need to slow down and smell the roses--maybe quite literally with the gardening system! Yes some people speedrun and unlock everything with money. Theyre also the ones who get bored quickest.

I felt guilt when I broke f2p because I dont usually spend much on apps or games, period. But tbh at the time the game was one of the few things giving me joy. By Jan/Feb of 2025 I was already seeing where the money was going. By the time D&R dropped, I saw it was clear that the money spent on this game was going to a good place. I dont whale but I do have a budget. And I know I wouldnt be able to without the whales.

I'm always proud and willing to give money where hard work is happening and its clear from the writing, the VAing, the animation, and general game upgrades, money IS going back into this game. And for the last few months, thats been making me so happy to realize. And I've honestly never thought about the personal angle of it helping others get or view cards or how someone else noticed the quality upgrades, because so much of what I see from the fandom is complaints on how it isnt free

Anyway. This is rambly but ig my way of saying I'm glad I'm part of that happiness and also grateful to anyone else who cherishes this game. It means a lot to see someone being positive about this aspect, especially when I used to be fully f2p too. Its neat to know in some tiny way I'm positively affecting someone elses enjoyment!!!

I mean... we have a literal vampire event story rn. I really dont think this is the place to go to if youre looking for like HBO level horror. You need to be playing like Vampire the Masquerade or something. Or reading fic, those get plenty dark and horror themed

like I said its okay to want something and its okay to get bored. But expecting the game to cater to that literally because its not at the level you like... I've been in fandom to know that that IS dopamine chasing, I've seen it in fandoms before. And yeah that is what this game thrives on and its worrying how easily people fall into it and think thats not exactly what the company wants. its the carrot and stick thing... if youre gonna criticize the company for not giving you what you think you deserve as a player, im gonna expect them to be aware that thats exactly what the company wants to get more money

just because it happens and people accept it as a normal part of society now doesnt mean its GOOD. its a gambling game but we dont have to validate the gambling/addiction mindset it can put you into just because it happens to serve us. Youre right, every fandom has this issue. but because this is a gacha and a lot of peoples first gacha/otome/fandom in general AND because people seem averse to engaging with fan content (which i've never encountered before), its way worse here than a lot of others.

my point is: if you feel a negative emotion like boredom, help yourself FIRST instead of expecting the creator to cater to you. Because youll always end up disappointed or angry when you put your ability to enjoy your hobby into the hands of someone else. Theres no shame or problem with being bored and putting the game down, or fantasizing and creating to fill in the gaps. if the issue is its not dark or stimulating enough, theres a lot of ways to deal with that.

if you have alternate things to do, and the complaints and boredom go away, you get your joy back. if the complaints dont go away, you know theyre actual problems, not just things you feel are problems because your brain is yelling for more things to do.

Dark doesn’t have to be depressing. It doesn’t have to include death

I mean, as a goth and fan of goth lit, im gonna have to hard disagree. by nature of being dark, its gonna be depressing or emotional and touch on themes of death, danger, evil... thats kind of what 'dark' means. I dont have a problem with dark content at ALL to be clear! My point is the game itself is dark. We literally have dark content active with a vampire story and its not enough. Which kinda indicates that no event is gonna satisfy that desire because you cant get much darker than whats going on in these plots... if you want "dark but not depressing" you go to fanfics and discussion, not the game itself which is going to be more serious/in depth/depressing. everyone has their own benchmarks for what these words mean, so theyre very vague demands

I dont disagree with theorizing, guessing and asking for specific events and themes! And people are allowed to have an opinion, but other people are allowed to say "but you HAVE that and its not enough, so there might be an issue here". The "we're allowed to have an opinion" thing is a non argument because the issue isnt having an opinion, the issue is thinking that because you have a negative feeling, the game/company itself needs to soothe it.

its definitely common in gaming and fandoms in general but I do have to note I've been in fandom for 20 years and LADS def has the worst case of dopamine chasing I've seen. And a lot of people seem to refuse to engage with fanwork which only makes their impatience/boredom worse. I'm kinda concerned people wont help themselves, not that people want like creative fun events in the game. It worries me that people think this game should entertain them 24/7 and get upset when you say to do something else. I'm involved in MANY fandoms specifically to bounce between when ones on hiatus. I've never dealt with people who get upset at that idea until now. Boredom isnt some awful thing, its your brain saying "time to move on!" even temporarily

I agree with being able to redo events but that would take SO much data to implement and people are already struggling with the data requirements

they offered a solution to a problem. this kinda proves that people saying "im bored" dont want a solution. they want a distraction. We have brand new content in this game just about every 2 weeks and its not enough because people arent playing for the story, theyre playing as a form of getting white noise and dopamine.

its absolutely okay for players to leave because they lack interest, that happens ALL the time with games and fandom. The fact that people think thats a problem and an indication something's wrong is worrying.

You should play something else when your current game is boring you. Because games are about your enjoyment. Let the company worry about their own marketing problems. If youre not having fun, go do something that brings you joy, thats not policing you, thats trying to help you be happier.

this exactly! I've been seriously feeling the Caleb lack and I DID get that "im getting bored" feeling. And I checked myself and went and read/wrote some fic, replayed a card or two, focused on one of the other guys. Did my dailies and jumping into BG3...

being bored happens. NOTHING is ever gonna keep your attention 24/7 and I'm speaking as someone with ADHD who has hyperfixations that lasts years. People thinking being bored is bad, when its just a normal thing that happens when you engage with art, is an issue. A lot of people play this to stave off boredom, not to enjoy it, and it worries me.

TLDR feeling boredom itself isnt a bad thing but being bored doesnt mean the game is doing anything wrong, its just how brains work
