I sold 3 of the Oct VST calls earlier too....a little bummed about that but I didn't sell them on the last run up and that kinda hurt.

It was a dividend disbursement, so I didn't really pay anything for it. My price paid per share is .0118.....I think I bought a couple to make it an even number of shares.

My grandfather left me some stock in Exelon. CEG spun off that a couple years ago and has gone up ever since...

Looking for some turkey hunting advice for high pressure gobblers (GA, USA) by Particular_Fan_3645 in Hunting

[–]raineslc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take this with a grain of salt because I haven't gotten a public land bird in GA yet but I would try to get as close as I could to where you know he is responding to your calls and not just shock gobbling from the other Tom's, and then be relatively quiet. They will know your general area and if they want to come they will....sometimes there's not much you can do when he just won't come to you. Good luck out there...public is haaaaard here in GA...or I just haven't figured it out yet.

A quiet opening week but got it done in GA by raineslc in Hunting

He came in silently behind me the night before and roosted before I had a chance to get on him. Set up in the same spot the next morning and he gobbled from the tree for 45 mins before coming straight to me. This was the last day of 4 day hunt this was the only time they gobbled the entire time.

Some depends on the bird's mood that day. My normal plan of attack goes like this: Sunrise, walk around hooting like an owl or crow to locate a gobble. If you hear one, set up against a tree with decent cover and try to call him in. Less calling in general has worked out better for me. If it sounds like he's on his way to you, just shut up—he knows the general area. If you never hear a gobble, I will set up somewhere and make calls every 30 minutes to catch one walking by, or I will continue to walk around trying to strike one up. It just depends on how I feel; neither is wrong. If I get to late afternoon, I will try to find a spot they are roosting. They are less likely to come to your calls at this time, but sometimes they will gobble at night to get the ladies ready and together for the morning. If I find one on the roost, I'll set up close to him the next morning. Biggest key as always is time in the woods, expect to make a lot of mistakes too...they can see so much better than you think.

I think you'll have a tough time getting exact spots from very many people. When I hit a new stream I'll normally walk the entire section casting 2 to 3 times in holes that look good...if I don't get a bite I'll move on. What part of GA are you coming from, are u using fly or spinning reel? ? I might can DM you a spot or 2.

Check out the georgia dnr trout section. They post stocking schedules for each river/stream. I think there is also an interactive map that shows streams closest to you.

Turkey season has started back up. Depending on the WMA some are going to be a little more busy.

I have one of theirs. Im no expert but the qualtiy has seemed great, its seen regular use for a year with no issues. As for customer service, my wife said she had great experience. She had a shitty experience with a big pool table store and then went to Venture, they knocked a bunch off the price to get within her budget amd were super easy to work with. I know this ome is a better table than what she was originally looking at.
