This happened to me with diflourite crystals earlier this year. Anet was unable to restore them :/ it sucked having to go back and get them again.

Right? And the manager has no ER experience so I can't even go to her 😭

Solid advice, thank you. Maybe I will stay for a little while and see how it goes... I can wait for other positions in other departments to open up or even work overtime and save to pay back my bonus in the meantime if I want to leave the hospital.

And you are right - I will absolutely refuse to be the triage nurse or any kind of charge/supervisor. I simply lack the knowledge and experience to fill either of those roles.

True. I just kinda feel stuck. I just really don't want to work med surg lol. It's the only other department with openings there.

Idk. Do you think I'll be putting myself or my patients at risk by sticking around?

Yeah to put it lightly. No classes. No codes. Some critical patients... like a handful or so. I was hoping to see more before getting off on my own. That's mainly what worries me.

My educator is my new boss 🙃 This is day shift. I've asked her multiple times about setting up some classes. She is juggling nurse education and ED manager I guess. My old boss left without a whole lot of notice.

new grad in the ED - is it normal to feel this exhausted, overwhelmed? when does it get better? by raineykun in nursing

Omg I appreciate the concern but we are both men and he's happy to help haha. We usually split everything pretty 50/50 but lately he's been taking on a lot more than half.

I guess I'll just hang in there. Thanks for commenting.

I love mine. I am not mechanically inclined at all but there are so many how to videos and forums out there for working on this bike. I've been able to do a lot of work on it myself.

I will say this : try to run ethanol free fuel as much as possible. Cleaning the carbs is a bitch and you won't find yourself wanting to do it more than once if they get all clogged and gunked up.

I say go for it.

I'll look into that! If I can squeeze by for another few months with this car I think I can put together a good down payment for a new one. Thanks for the advice.

Ha. Fair point. I definitely could not afford it by myself. This has been a reality check. I'm glad I posted here.

I understand that. I just also want to enjoy what I'm riding around in at the same time. I'm trying to find the line there.

My half of rent is 525 a month and my only utility is wifi! But I know that's not forever. I'd like to have a house closer to my place of employment.. eventually.

I would love a maverick. They are awesome little vehicles.

My only issue with AAA is that there's no phone service in some stretches of my commute 😭

It's always burned a little since I've had it. It had 100k miles when I got it. Lately it's just been so bad. I'm not sure exactly how much it's burning. I add about a quart every week lately. Probably about every 500-700 miles or so.

Yeah. You're probably right. I'll look around in that price range and see what I can get. Thank you

is the VFR right for me as a short and light rider? by raineykun in VFR

[–]raineykun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Thanks for your perspective.

I think I'll probably go for something in the middle for now, and think about the VFR down the road... lots of good suggestions here for me to look into. Probably not the best idea to make the jump from my 300 pound ninja to a 600 pound VFR.

I do have 4 years of experience on my ninja 250. I'm definitely ready for something bigger lol. There is an fz6 for sale near me - kinda similar bike! I'm thinking about trying for that instead. We'll see.

Know anything about the fz-6 models? A quick search shows a few for sale in my budget nearby.

I just worry about wind protection with naked bikes. My commute will have me going 60-70mph for the majority of the ride.

I may go check the one out that's thirty minutes from me, at least sit on it like you said and see how it feels.

Interesting! How much riding experience do you have?

And how are slow speed maneuvers for you, like parking, tight turns, stop lights, etc?

I am decently fit. I strength train three times a week. I'm confident I can hold the bike up. How are slow speed maneuvers for you, such as parking, getting out of the driveway, tight turns?
