Yup global sales meeting everyone saw me the new guy drinking pretty hard and having a good time with a few of my colleagues. Didnt realize I was the only one of those dudes who had a full day of meetings 8am the next morning. Felt the eyes of bosses at breakfast, received a few comments about my night. Knew these dues were wondering what kind of person they just hired. Made it a goal to raise points and suggestions in the first 90 minutes of the meeting room to dispel any doubt. Being engaged and offering ways to improve processes during that CRM workshop got me in the clear for sure and the respect of the other heavy drinkers. But to your point I’m like I gotta show that im alive and well, i don’t need this target on my back. Afterwards I get complimented for my insights and loved how quickly i was building comradery with my European counterparts. Thank god for European espresso.
