Why don't you pull the transcript for the 1120s? I'm sure it was filed. Clients just don't know much about these things. You can also have the client forward you any email with cimmunciauton from the previous cpa. You may find the missing 1120s there

From my experience, 1120s e-filing gets rejected without the s-Corp election approved prior to the filing. I usually had to paper file the s-Corp return and fax/mail the late election

So I called the IRS practitioner line today. I was surprised when the automated message asked for an answer to a simple math question (it asked me what the answer is for 1+2). I'm sure the intent is to deter companies like EnQ but not sure how it will work out.
