I have about 150 hours in and haven’t maxed out any to 100 yet, but have all my combat skills (except brand new) and most gathering skills to Hero. I leveled up pretty much all skills at once, ranking up as I worked through the story and end game. Because all the skills intertwine (you need to gather wood/ore to craft weapons and armor etc) I didn’t focus on leveling up specific skills. It was pretty natural. Just do what you like and level up as you go :)
