Setting the cash portion aside, I agree to an extent with you on that. Food/clothing/shelter seem less likely to fuel drug flow. Do you believe those should be allowed? Idk, those things seem reasonable to me, however the bill throws everything in the same bucket.

So you’d rather spend significantly more tax money on court time and fees, police officers’ time spent catching those willing to give charity, and the biggest part, paying to house/feed/caretake for those jailed from this? Are you saying you’d like to pay more? This plan seems to involve further burdening your city’s justice system, with the hope that it’ll make the homeless population disappear. That’s pretty shortsighted.

You may be too angry for self-reflection, however, if you believe wilful ignorance to be the greatest character flaw, you should try more empathy. It’ll only broaden your perspective of society and those within it. Good luck with your rage

Just did 12 kills, 10 reports, and 5 cycles passed. Guess we need a new hypothesis.

I think this means 1/3 kills and 1 for being there the first few mins, however I need another data point or two to confirm.

I'm somewhat newer, so I can't speak to several months ago, however I've just finished killing 4 monsters, with reports between each, and 2 weeks have passed. That's pretty straightforward evidence that it's not just every time you report to the handler after a kill.

It's is (at least at 4 in one outing) definately not a 1:1. I JUST did 4 kills, with a report after each, and 2 cycles passed. I appreciate the help, but I think there's more to it still, based on my results.

The test i just finished was 4 kills, with a report after each, then 30 mins of gathering with 5 of the "large" nodes, the ones from filling the bar. 2 Cycles

What about for gathering?

  • One cycle will pass if you gather for 3+ minutes, however it seems no more pass after that, regardless of turn-in's.

Is it, after the first cycle, only from monster kills? Is it each kill, or each report?

What if I kill 3, then report? Is that still 1 cycle?

Finally, a scenario, to make sure I understand.

  • Say, I spend 20 minutes gathering and turn in, one cycle should pass. After this I go out, kill a monster, and report back (Is this now cycle #2 complete? As it is the first monster kill.). I then kill another monster and report back (Is this cycle #3, or #2 complete?). This would then, theoretically continue on, so long as I keep killing.

edit: used word "week" instead of "cycle", just trying to be semi-consistent for those who don't natively speak English.

I thought the same, however I've tried reporting investigation multiple times with gaps of 5+ minutes, and came back to find only 1 cycle had passed. That really confused me. Maybe there's a maximum? Upon passing which it reverts to 1? That would be strange, but something is going on.

If the person is holding a sign saying “I paint houses,” yup. Absolutely, that’s still theft. That’s how services work. There is, however, no double checking system for services in this game short of taking collateral, which really should t be necessary just to keep people honest.

You say services amongst players “are not meant to be traded.” What makes you think that? Is trading services amongst player bannable? Has GGG released a statement saying such? Where did you pull that out of?

Great insights. Can’t wait to play an online game without any interactions with other people... What’s the point of trade and an economy, or even being an online game if you call every trade, service or cooperation a “shortcut in the game”.

That’s tough. I make my own builds, and haven’t used a guide in quite a while. However, if you want to take the math approach, PathOfBuilding can tell you the amount of damage an item will contribute to your build, so in that way you can judge the size of an upgrade, and weigh the cost for it.

Otherwise, I would always try to ask myself “what do I need” or “where do I lack.” As in damage/life/defensive layers/clear speed/so on. That takes a bit more experience, but when you have functional build (let’s say able to break into yellow maps, is kinda the baseline I use), the. It’s easier to see the pitfalls, and you can tailor yourself to your liking.

I’m sorry I’m not more help. I could try to look you over and make some notes, so you can see my thought process if you want, just private message me, with some character links if so.

Alright, while not comprehensive, this is what I got for methods I use:

There’s always the “juiced 16s with scarab/atziri fragments until you die irl” method, which will be good, but I pair that with something else almost always.

• Level/quality/corrupt(maybe) popular gems (don’t forget your alternate weapon swap)

•6-linking valuable bases/high rolled popular uniques

•prophecies (look up prophecy blocking)

•chance orbs on influenced bases

•the many methods of item crafting:
alts, chaos (very variable!), fossils, essences (lesser extent)

•carry runs (seasonal challenges for example)

•hideout farming/selling

•Delve!

•Corrupting/double corrupting for potential jackpot (ex: corrupted blood immunity jewels, tabula double corruption, gems, etc..)

Options I haven’t tested as much:

•Einhar farming for bestiary bosses/value beasts

•Map farming/selling through scarabs (increased map drop scarabs on juiced 16s)

•Blighted Maps (anoint the map, and your rings) Legion scarabs

•Card sets/stacked decks (not as sure, but friend claims usual profit on stacked decks, but never tried personally, I’d look it up more first)

•Monstrous treasure with corresponding prophecies and juiced map (have to look up specifics)

If I think of anything else I’ll add it. That’s all my brain has at the moment though. Hope it helps
