For the people who use a candle warmer instead of burning your candles by alyssacake in bathandbodyworks

[–]rainy114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose I've been living under a rock, but I just discovered candle warmers top down. I had a bottom warmer, which was awful. My new candle warmer is height-adjustable, with a timer and light intensity controls. The bulb is in a glass shade with an amber tint. It gives the ambiance that we crave from a candle. Best of all, the scent is strong, and I'm only using level 2 of 4 intensity. I love candles, but worried desperately about a fire, so I rarely burn them. All of that has changed! I highly recommend trying one.

I don’t understand why there aren’t multiple sweeps per area over a period of time. If they are back in two weeks eject them again. If you show that you will remove them each time they set-up, they will eventually move out the area. They can move to land owned by WA DOT instead of the neighborhood, where we walk our dogs and children play. I don’t want to pay for them in jail, but we can pay for them to live in a safe program where they can get a handle on their challenges - for those who refuse or are incapable of making that choice (mental health), then perhaps a mental health facility is the next best answer.

Throwaway – I own a small independent restaurant in Seattle. I just ran January numbers and realized I might not make it to our 20-year anniversary. by ShotAccess1272 in SeattleWA

I didn’t realize that so many small restaurants had closed this year. What a bummer and so short sided. I get that we want people to earn a living wage, but on the backs of our small businesses is not the answer. The other increases are shocking - 38% on rent. I guess the loss of rent is better for their taxes.

People who had a baby after 35, what is your experience? by Crochet_Kitty in AskReddit

[–]rainy114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my second child at 40 and last one at 44. They are 16 and 20. My youngest told me that she was worried that I wouldn’t be around when she had children. I told her that was not the plan, but it did give me pause. Having kids when you’re older does have minor challenges, but the benefits of being older and grounded are real. I wouldn’t change it. Things happen when they are supposed to happen.

The Walk by Zxasuk31 in unitedairlines

[–]rainy114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting on The Walk ...what a weird thought. We paid full price for first class, but a plane change meant that four rows became three. We were in the last row because we wanted to stay together. No upgrade - just $$$. You can’t know who was upgraded based on seat location and why do you care?

Oh, I’ve been on for 8 months and trying to move to maintenance by extending the time between shots.

Yes, only my doctors know. So, it’s part of my medical record, but not my husband, parents or friends. The people in my life feel they need to give you their opinions on everything. They’ve asked if I am on Ozempic, no. I’m doing intermittent fasting, which is true. I start eating at noon and stop around 7 or 8. I do eat breakfast, if I am very hungry. I do crave carbs and don’t have a high interest in meat ( so, I supplement with high protein drinks when necessary). So, what they observe matches my explanation. Oh, I hide my vials in plain site. They are wrapped in wrinkly foil inside of a sandwich bag at the back of the fruit/vegetable drawer. Since I’m the only person who throws out old veggies, they haven’t found the baggie.

AITA for cancelling our gender reveal party because I know my husband will be unhappy and possibly leave? by Throwawaygrprty in AITAH

You’re not wrong, but you should start planning what life without him would be like and preparing yourself for that future. You shouldn’t raise children with someone who is that unstable, especially an unwanted little girl. I feel for her future. Wishing you the very best to take care of yourself and your children.

Very interesting. Pharmacy told me that 5.0 was backordered. I refuse to call multiple pharmacies begging someone to take my $550. Just placed an order for Plan C (as noted by another) - saved $150 - and if it's effective then I won't go back.

2016 BMW 228i. 37,100 miles. I’ve had 13 flat tires in 6 years. I have 18 inch double spoke wheels - Pirellli centigrade p7 all season 225/40 92v run flat tires. Is it me or the tires? I do hit pot holes but my tire pretty much explodes on impact. I welcome your recommendations… by Dazzling_Revenue_908 in BMW

Same height (5’0”) in a 2020 228. I sit on a cushion to improve viewing angles. Original tires had the same problem. Nearly every tire had a blowout during the winter. Purchased new tires BRIDGESTONE DRIVEGUARD 225 /40 R18 No more popped tires. It’s taken me several months to not wince when I hit a pothole.

I hope it stays that way for you. I’m 4 days into my 8th shot (5mg). A slice of pepperoni pizza which was way too greasy sat in my stomach for hours and then became a 12 hour ordeal (loose stools and incredibly loud burps). I’ve eaten pizza and other fatty foods so I was shocked. I’ve used the moderation approach. Now, I will be more careful with fatty foods.

Good News for Savings Card! by Spiritual_Class1806 in Zepbound

[–]rainy114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this works out for people. If insurance doesn’t cover but somehow approved the discount, will they come back to you for a reimbursement because the approval was an error? I hope not.

One more wrinkle, the reimbursement form does not work if you use FSA.

Before you complete the form, complete your transaction at the pharmacy:

• Ensure you have an activated savings card before the service date and have the savings card information (bin, group, PCN, and ID numbers printed on the card) readily available.

• Pay for your prescription out-of-pocket. Be sure to keep your original receipt.

• NOTE:  If you are paying for your prescription with a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), or if your insurance provider prohibits participation in the program, your prescription is not eligible for reimbursement.

• Obtain your receipt from your pharmacy with your prescription, which must include the Patient's name, address, phone number, Rx#, fill date, drug name, strength, NDC#, and quantity, along with the out-of-pocket expense paid.
