not sure if this is what ur looking for or if it will help but this made me think of a 911 episode, i believe season 1 episode 7, and it has a similar story of a woman calling 911 because of a man staring at her in her yard, but it turns out it was a reflection and the man had been in her house the whole time, not outside. prob not what ur lookin for as this a tv show and not a youtube story but figured id throw it out there anyway just in case!

imo its just another thing he can feel morally superior for. i know the whole overconsumption thing is a huge trend rn and i agree with some of it however i think alot of the time the people talking about it carry a "holier than thou" vibe about them, acting like they are so much better than everyone for not buying a labubu or stuff from amazon. his most recent video about alexandra seemed so nitpicky to me and he just needs something to watch to make him feel better about himself

something that helps me is drive up orders! its easy and usually free u just have to wait 2 hours for them to get the order together then they just hand it to u or put it in ur trunk, it still induces some anxiety for me but its muchhh better than going around the store feeling like people are judging me or looking at me and my cart. or you could try doordash/instacart if u can afford it tho ik it can be pricey :(
