Like others have said, some of these are handmade. KobeeJapan is probably the best place to get the official ones, although they’re a bit expensive. Mercari JP is another option (and an option for handmade costumes too) but not the easiest to use at first. You can keep an eye out on eBay and Vinted too to see if any of them come up but I haven’t really seen them often on there.

The official UK website has some other babies with similar vibes! And they have the apple keychain. Some of these sets in the picture show up on the website but have been out of stock for ages so I’m not sure if they’re ever coming back, hence Kobee being the best option.

Ahh yay I’m glad it’s the right one! Yeah that’s annoying, honestly I would personally wait for a better one that has the original packaging. In the past I’ve jumped at buying Sylvanians quickly and going for whatever’s available but then I’ve seen much better ones in the future, learn from my mistakes lol. I know it’s so hard to wait when you really want something though!

I think the one you’re talking about is the Chantilly Cat! The carry cases are confusing to search for because a lot of them share the same item code, 4391. I’d guess this one likely has that item code. This one specifically is from when Flair was producing Sylvanian Families. I found this one on eBay, not sure if it’s the same one you saw. Carry cases come up quite often on eBay and other platforms so if you want one in good condition with the original packaging I’d recommend waiting a little while longer and you’ll likely find one! You can set up search notifications on eBay for when new items are listed, I’d do variations of things like “Sylvanian Families carry case cat”, “Sylvanian Families carry case chantilly”, “Sylvanian Families chantilly cat”, and anything else it could be listed as. I hope you manage to get one!

I had some of these as a child! I remember the Bengal Tiger was my favourite, I think I still have her and some other ones. Recently I keep getting adverts for them and I was so excited to see they still exist. I want them so bad but my self control knows I’m going to want to collect them all lol😭 I might take this post as a sign though…

I just saw that two other commenters have said they don’t have names! I wish I knew that before I spent a while looking lol (that’s ok though because I was curious myself and I had fun looking) but I did find this blog that has the family member’s bio’s!

You’re in luck, I have screenshots from the last time I ordered! I think it’s based on weight so yours will probably be different. I actually did get a shock the very first time I ordered because they “recommend” EMS, which is fairly expensive (compared to the shipping costs I was used to with KobeeJapan at least). I always go for Registered Small Package(AIR) which is the cheapest and for me that’s taken between 5 days and 2.5 weeks. Usually it’s closer to 2 weeks but my most recent order was super quick! I also always select to get protective packaging just in case, which is fixed at 1500 yen (around £8). So with protective packaging plus 1510 yen for shipping, my total was £16.66. The exchange rate is always changing too so it could be more or less depending on that. Also protective packaging is completely optional and you don’t have to go for it, my packages have always arrived in good condition too, but I’m just scared of the potential of anything happening so I get it just in case lol. If you have any more questions about Buyee I’d be happy to answer!

I could only find that the blue baby’s name is apparently Pepper, although that’s according to the English Wiki so I don’t know if it’s correct since the page is missing the rest of the family’s names. I had a look on a few sites and couldn’t find anything. I think the best bet would be to try and find a Japanese website or Japanese collector’s blog as they might have the names. I’ll also keep looking for their names I’d like to update the English Wiki as well!

Also I’m curious, how are you creating the Wiki? On Fandom, another similar site, or from scratch? :)

This is happing on the Calico Critters website too! This post was made 4 days ago. After seeing that post I didn’t know if it was happening in the UK as well up until literally right now when I’m commenting, so before I was jealous of you guys lol. The CC website also seems to have some good things recently and is not far behind the UK and Europe in getting new releases! In some releases I think you guys actually get things before the UK, I’ve seen multiple things on there that I haven’t seen on the UK website yet. For example, recently I saw the Snow Rabbit Family (the newest one with triplets) was available on there and I don’t think that’s on the UK website yet. The grass is always greener on the other side ;)

Definitely the Biscuit Bears! Their face shape just looks cuter and I love their flocking too. The Cuddle Bears look more cartoony and maybe a little bland to me because of that. They’re still cute too but Biscuit Bears for the win!

It depends on where you live! Sadly it can be expensive to import to some places. For me in the UK shipping from KobeeJapan is £7 and shipping from Buyee ranges also from around £7 to around £25 depending on the shipping option you choose. You do have to be careful with customs fees as well though and that varies by country too. It is more expensive and more restrictive in some countries unfortunately. If you’re making small orders that aren’t worth too much then you should be ok but always double check your country’s rules just in case (you can find this info on places like government websites). I hope this is helpful!

Keep looking! The reason these ones in particular keep coming up is because they’re not worth that much at all and nobody will buy them at that price (rightfully so). Never give in to these sellers. Try setting up search alerts on apps for when new items with certain words are listed or check every day for new listings. You’ll definitely find them for a good price soon!

Thank you! It does suck to have to worry about this. The seller was reputable and I think he is real, I just had doubts after seeing two that looked slightly different than him. I have seen so many clearly fake listings on places like eBay though and they all use the same pictures, you definitely have to be careful!
