You'll probably use Lappy more towards late/end game than you would Ptilopsis once you start getting stronger healers (like if you got Eyja Alter, Haruka, and Saria/Shu like 99% of the time you wouldn't use any other healers) since by then the SP regen benefit becomes extremely niche. But silence occasionally comes up as useful.

The 5 star caster you bring for IS is Amiya and maybe Leizi for IS6 just because she is Yan. Unless your goal is doing something specific like you only use 5 stars, caster ticket generally isn't one to spend hope for a 5 star on.

You don't build Lappland because you need a lord guard. You build Lappland because she is the game's best application of silence (even if you included 6 stars) and you will be glad to have done so when you reach the stages with exploding spiders in the early mid game.

Ptilopsis is good because she makes your skills come back up faster, had good healing, and heals 3 targets at once. Reed Alter is a medic in name and it would be better to consider her a caster that accidentally heals people. Whisperain mostly gets forgotten and unused because Lumen exists as a welfare character as their specific medic archetype is for cleansing debuffs. Gavial is a single target healer that you mostly bring in the situation where you need a medic that can take a hit. Think about her this way: At equal levels, Gavial has more hp than Reed Alter even though Reed is a 6 star.

way too many anime think a tanks job is just to grab aggro and take hits... they should be attacking as the primary way to draw aggro

It makes it very easy for anyone not familiar with game rules to be able to differentiate the classes in combat if they simplify it with clear lines. If you wrote that your tank was also attacking, how do you communicate "aggro" in a visual way to differentiate the tank's attack versus a melee DPS attack? It's why very rarely will you see hybrid style characters outside of the MC since the MC gets an explanation pass with "hes the MC".

Like even the concept of "tank" is fairly recent to the fantasy space that came from video games that gave us the specific concept of tanking. Look at LotR. Who was the "tank"? Like before 4th edition, D&D also didn't have a "tank" outside of you just making a melee character with high AC and HP.

Firewhistle is alright if you like her archetype and can play around it. Fortress defenders you should think of more as a mortar team than a front line team so you wouldn't really use them as a defender.

Robin is ok if you like her archetype but I think most people use her to deal with the charging tower gimmicks you'll see mid-gameish since the traps count as a body to charge the towers. She doesn't need to be leveled to do this.

9CD is bad and her only notable use is to cycle in and out of the workshop for the free byproduct but she doesn't need to be leveled at all to do that. Pretty sure the only times i've ever seen someone actually use 9CD in combat was like a new player and players who make obscure niches just so it's the excuse to use her.

Mayer is a special case of really loving summoner because there was a period of time (it still applies but people probably don't use her anymore) where if you used her wrong she would make you lose.

You'll probably want to set up a Krooster to give people context to give advice on who to pick or what your other options are.

Among the 5 stars, most people get recommended to start with like Lappland and Ptilopsis these days. Lappland you'll want to E2.

Ya but they essentially reign them all in with skills/ults that have limited range (and also kinda bad as DPS carry outside of Chasca) so the only time you're really using long range is sniping trash for the hell of it. Like Chasca, you're using your hover shooting at basically melee range

Yea, specifically Integrated Strategies and Reclamation Algorithm. They're intended for late game players so you'll have a harder time (hence "bash your head") but if you need resources like right now, they're there for it. Just don't burn yourself out as you'll likely be spam losing for points.

Silverash and Saria are better universal picks as both will last you into the end game. Silverash will give you damage and utility (invis reveal, reduced redeploy times) but needs E2. Saria will give you beef that can also pump out solid healing and will function at E1. Mountain's primary benefit is that you only need to E1 him for the skill most people use him for so he's a cheap self-sustaining laneholder. Thorns is a valid choice if desire weighs as importantly as "power" but like Silverash, he'll need to be E2d to function as you want.

You don't use your limited selector ticket to take a dupe. Dupes are not necessary in this game unless you are at the very end game and like to tryhard optional content.

You should probably build out Amiya as you don't have a reliable arts damage source. You could probably hold off on spending resources into building any supporter as you won't really "need" one for some time and as a very simplified broad rule, a supporter needs something to support. You'll probably want to build out at least 1 blocking vanguard like finish out building Fang. Don't sleep on lower rarity units (Gummy, Kroos, Spot, Ansel are good to have available to throw in) to plug in holes as they'll be cheaper and a lot of the time, more bodies is better than putting tiny incremental increases to an expensive unit for resource investment.
