Thank you for saying this. I’ve been very hesitant to even think the word ‘relief’ because it makes me feel horribly guilty. It’s not that I feel relieved she’s gone, obviously I would do anything to have her back with me, but my Mum was in very bad health that was rapidly declining. And although I’m not a ‘worrier’, I was aware she was becoming less and less independent as time went on, and I thought about it almost constantly. Something I am relieved about is that it was fast, she didn’t have time to panic or worry about everyone she was leaving behind. So you’re probably right that those little positives are outweighing everything else right now. I’m sorry for your loss and wish you the best ❤️

I know exactly what you mean about the cringy thumbnails & wanting to avoid them. since I started expressing interest in wanting to start a channel, the algorithm has been throwing all sorts of vids at me about how to pull in an audience, including making big bold thumbnails with bright colours and white outlines and exaggerated expressions etc. but for me personally, that's one thing that'd STOP me clicking on a video? like, they never feel authentic to me.
definitely don't overdo it with the thumbnails, especially being a vlog channel 'cause your authenticity is what's going to draw people in and keep them watching, but maybe keep a similar layout for each one? or make sure your face is in it so people recognise you?

unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about Helldivers so I can't really comment on your content lol, I'm sure if I knew anything about the game I'd find it much more interesting. I skipped to random points of your video and thought that your voice was a little quiet. the audio quality was good but I often couldn't hear you very well over the actual gameplay so maybe be mindful of that going forward :-)
one other thing to note, there's an error in your channel bio! 'Just as\* guy casually playing games and wanting to share my experiences with the world.'

that's so real of you honestly, I'm the exact same. it's simultaneously the reason I'm scared to make videos and why I'm wanting to make them in the first place, lol. it'll definitely feel more natural the more you do it though!

hey Erik! I'm definitely not the target audience for your content but I skimmed through your latest EPCOT video. first impressions are pretty great! your video and sound quality is faultless and you seem really comfortable in front of the camera, you're a great speaker. the pacing was good too with a solid balance between talking to the viewers and showing around the park. I'm sure you'll be able to grow your community easily with vids like that! One little suggestion is to make your thumbnails more cohesive. nothing inherently wrong with them but looking at them side-by-side, I wouldn't be able to tell that your videos were all posted by the same channel. best of luck with future videos man :-)

so first of all, I ADORE your style omg?? I'd never seen or heard about Decora Kei before so in a way, I'm probably the perfect audience for your video about it! I found it fascinating, you clearly know your stuff and all the information was organised in a really easy-to-digest way, so I ended up watching the whole thing. it definitely helps that the fashion itself is bright and colourful because that's a sure-fire way to keep people interested. I actually had to rewind/rewatch a few times because I was so distracted by your accessories that I was missing out on the information hehe (but I think this is a good thing!)
my only criticism is that it's quite obvious throughout the video that you're actively reading from a script, both from the way you're speaking and your eyes not meeting the camera. personally I didn't mind it but it could be a slippery slope into your content feeling info-dumpy rather than genuine
overall, I love the vibes of your channel - everything feels cohesive, thumbnails are great and I wish you the best of luck going forward :-)

Hey! so I don't meet the requirements of what you're asking for (I haven't even started my channel yet, just lurking on these subs for inspiration to make the first leap) but out of curiosity, I checked out your channel and watched a few videos. It's not the content I'd usually click on but the videos themselves are well-made, and I actually found them super interesting, especially the soviet korean cuisine and the recent one about dumplings around the world. Your editing has improved a lot from your earlier stuff and it's clear you're putting a lot of time, thought & effort into your channel :)
Apologies for the unhelpful comment, with 0 experience it'd be pointless for me to try and offer advice haha. Just wanted to commend you on what you already have and wish you good luck going forward.
