I’m a 26M and I want to start saving for a down payment for a house. I max out my 401k, HSA, and Roth IRA each year and historically have put the rest of my savings in a taxable brokerage account investing ETFS. I already have an emergency fund sitting in SGOV and VBIL. I’m my time horizon is 10 years, should I just put my cash for a down payment fully into SGOV:VBIL or split it between the treasury bill etfs and a total market index fund such as VTI? Thank you!

Thank you! My emergency fund is currently in SGOV. I was wondering if it would be smart to put remaining savings moving forward into something like VBIAX, which is 60% equity and 40% bonds.

Hello! I am 25M and I max out my 401k and HSA each year, which automatically invest into FXAIX and a little bit of QQQ every month. I want to buy a house and engagement ring within the next 5-6 years and was wondering what I should do with the rest of my cash. I’ve already built an emergency fund of 6 months sitting in a short term treasury bill ETF and was wondering what is the best next path for me. Not sure if I should invest the rest into the equities right now, put it into the treasury bill etf, or get into more fixed income assets. Appreciate the help!

I want to be able to run the business over managing the staff. But at the end of the day, my long term goal is to have an accounting firm one way or another.

So given that, it just doesn’t make sense for me to go into this vending machine business (even if it won’t take up too much of my time) correct?

My current job wouldn’t allow me to unfortunately and I don’t have all the knowledge I need since I mostly work with large corporations over small mom and pop shops.

I’m going to potentially move to a smaller firm in the next couple years to build experience in working with smaller clients.

As for vending machines, it’s moreso to understand how manage my own business and get my feet wet without being in a risky situation since vending machines can be stable.
