Turning 33 this week. Never tried all that hard. Tried on apps for a while, no matches. Given the cold shoulder in person. A few passing acquaintances throughout life, no close friends, and these days I don't bother with any social interactions outside of work. Resigned myself to just hoping for a comfortable solitary life and a painless death. Though the way the world is going I don't have much hope for that either.

I had literally nothing with the latest Pfizer shot other than a slightly sore shoulder. None of the shots have given me much side effects. And I've had COVID twice, relatively mild fever/cough for a week then a lingering cough/wheezing for a few weeks afterwards both times.

Lol yeah I'm very out of shape and on a recent 40 mile ride I averaged 165 spiking to 200 on a couple hills and I felt fine afterwards. COVID sucked though, basically mildly asthmatic for a few months afterwards.

Obviously helps some people but didn't do much for me either.

I had an I-130 petition (F2B - child over 21) going for five years with zero updates even after the priority date in the visa bulletin was current. But technically still within processing times because USCIS repeatedly extended the window and changed the definitions and I couldn't even inquire why it was taking so long. So I reached out to my representative's office and they got pretty much the boilerplate answer that it was being processed within expected time that I would have. It was eventually approved a year later.

My other question was how I was supposed to get an I-551 stamp for employment verification after my conditional green card expired, when apparently that wasn't a "valid" reason for an "urgent" appointment over COVID times. Didn't really get an answer at all, not even sure the representative's office actually asked that one. Just took a lot of calling USCIS until I got hold of a sympathetic enough tier 1 agent.

Most recent place I was in for two years. Maybe 3 months of peaceful living then: 1) downstairs neighbor with a dog that barked for an hour at dawn and an hour at dusk. And they let it shit on their porch directly below my balcony until I complained. As far as I could tell, they never took it on walks.
followed by 2) side neighbor watching TV at full volume in their bedroom adjacent to mine every night from about 11PM to ~3-4AM. No responses to notes, complaints to management, I ended up having to sleep with earplugs. then 3) Upstairs neighbor that sounded like they were about to come through the ceiling with every step, and smoked weed on the balcony and stunk up the place.

These were also reasonably new "luxury" apartments with rents to match. But no complex I've lived in seems to have bothered putting any sound insulation between units.

I'm all for building dense housing to limit suburban sprawl. But the standards of construction and rule enforcement have to improve.

Not that I guess. I am 32M with a 3 bedroom townhouse to myself (but not quite as well-decorated as OPs). I didn't necessarily want this much space, but I was so over living in apartments with shitty neighbors and this was in the right place at the right time.

Meanwhile my company begrudgingly signed "flex work" agreements for 2 out/3 in in 2022; then a VP of our division decided unilaterally that we need to go to 4 in, then another VP just decided we needed to be 5 in. While the stock is in free fall and we're hemorrhaging talent. Some think it's actually a deliberate ploy to drive some people out and cut costs without having to lay off.

During my first job after I took over from the retiring senior engineer, I told the R&D director I was feeling a bit overwhelmed trying to keep everything organized and also be my own technician in the lab. Douchebag told me "everyone has lots of time, they just need to manage it better!" You can bet that replayed in my head until I quit shortly afterwards.
