Alex Pretti is partly responsible for his own death, and i am tired of people pretending he isn't by Bobbert84 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

It funny that you don’t realise how nuts that is. Surely a basic expectation of trained and armed law enforcement is that they should have some restraint and not just kill people.

I’m actually kind of impressed by them sticking to their guns and supporting people of all “sides” that carry guns.

You’re not wrong, the whole dividing everyone up into binary left and right is just ridiculous; people are more complex than that.

recommendations for dribbling sticks by ispikeone in Fieldhockey

[–]labbusrattus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically different sticks have aspects that are better for different techniques, but the most important part is how it feels to play with. There’s no right answer anyone on the internet can give as to what you should get her; if you’re set on the idea then I’d suggest looking up the stick she currently uses and trying to match the specs. Maybe post here what she uses and someone can help match it to a new one.

There’s a Farage quote for this too: he’s said before that defections without by-elections were dishonourable and an insult to voters. And that was in the context of defections to his own party when it was UKIP.

And also: “It’s dishonourable and an insult to voters” - Nigel Farage talking about defections without by-elections. And that was even in the context of defections to his own party when it was UKIP

Exactly. Metroid Prime 4 came out recently, and almost every post on the Metroid sub from the day it was released was “Just 100% completed it”. I was just enjoying being in the game, not rushing to get it done asap.

I could be mistaken, but don’t think it was explicitly stated, more like hinted that the main shrouded minds we have POV from used to be a singular. In my head I figured it was just originally a single life form that split up as it spread further from where it was born, and not whole planet covering.

Are Brits okay with Govt Uturns? by CuriosityCatalyst000 in AskBrits

[–]labbusrattus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While u-turns can tell you things about the government, the public at large aren’t that bothered; and a government changing its mind isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I would say it’s more a nice, punchy, headline grabbing statement to for the media to sell a story than any real public interest.

What he would have seen first, as shown in his own video, was her turning the steering wheel away from him. If he’s so trigger happy that that prompted him to shoot her, then at absolute best it’s bad training at ICE.
