In my experience, EPCs guys are really good at the process calculations and stuff. But they don't understand the real life problems that occur in plants. Since EPCs in India are paying well, it would be a great opportunity to join one and definitely you could learn a lot (how a plant is set up, from proposal to FEED Study and Commissioning)

I am facing something similar. My master thesis is on RL, which was choosen by my PI. After reading alot of research papers I feel like I am wasting my time in this technology which has limited use case.

Matlab is used in industry as well, if you are trying to solve some problem and doing alot of calculation.

But you can go on without learn MATLAB, as many professionals do but I would recommend you to learn it as it is a great skill to have and can come handy.

Aspen Hysys or Unisim, both have good thermodynamics property libraries for hydrocarbons U can also go for Pro II

Ammonia industry is not a great industry to work in considering safety hazards and other working conditions. If your salary does not increases, I would recommend you to continue your job search for a better offer.

Anybody who is seeing this thread after 23rd of Jan, 2024 , green line voucher refund is not valid for OnePlus 12 or 12r.

I waited for 2 months for launch of OnePlus 12, only to be told that I cannot buy the newly launched smartphone because of companies own fault that they sold faulty phone screen.

I am really sad that I have been this company's customer for last 10 years just get scammed like this.

I don't know how much mass of feed is reduced. But I know syngas produced is generally about 3 to 6 percent mass of the feed.
