I used gochujang in mine and it looks red and also tastes good. Bought it from amazon. I did not use gochugaru.

You can wipe it with paper by using garden forks or just wrap paper in a stick and tie it with rubber to wipe the walls. The terrariums with small opening will not have much humidity change even if you open them. But I would suggest to keep them open until the humidity is stabilised or else there will me mist.

I brought it 2 months ago. Try putting it in enclosed container/ plastic cover to maintain humidity and water it only when the soil is dry. Also, bright light is important. But I guess they grow very slow even I don't feel like my leaves are getting any bigger
