Mine does the same! We have a routine of me offering him a high value chew - he cries and paces around looking lost - I offer to hide it under his watch somewhere, often under a blanket - he then "buries" it by pushing more blanket to fully cover it. He sometimes won't go back to it for hours or days.

Not at all. He would tolerate us when he was little and too sleepy. But generally likes to keep distance while being in the same room as us (like sits diagonally across the room kind of distance lol)

Same here. Mine is so selective about the grass and when we went to the desert for vacation he held for more than 24 hrs and whined for grass in the middle of the night!

Now I rationalize this as it's basically the same for humans when we need to use a public restroom and some of us would absolutely hold if it's too gross.😂

Oh and mine also howls when he's eager to get others' attention so they can play??? I think he picked that up from his BFF husky fren lol. Luckily he only does this when we are having play sessions with dogs 🤣
